Elli and Derek had escaped. They were 5 blocks away, out of breath. "Well--that- was...--" Derek was too out of breath to finish. "Extreme--?" Elli asked, laughing. Extreme--? "you can say that," He laughed back. All of sudden a familiar white car came by. "Oh no, is it the mental hospital?" Derek asked, worried. "No," Elli said happily. "Whattup, Bestie!" Amber's cheerful voice came from the rolled down window. "Wait, how did you get here?" Elli was confused. "Well, before the movie disappeared, I looked up all sorts of stuff about it---I kinda figured something would go wrong. anyways, I found out where it happened, and I probably stole my mom's car but that's beside the point." Elli and Amber laughed and hugged. "So we can go home?" Elli was extremely happy. "Nope!" Amber said. "Wait, what?" Derek asked. "OMG!!" Amber screamed. "sorry," she added when she saw Derek's face. "So why can't we go home?" Elli asked. "Because there are people everywhere looking for you!" Amber gave her a 'duh' look. "Guards at every exit at the city looking into cars top to bottom saying that a mental hospital patient has escaped!" Elli was silent. "Well, we can go stay at my aunt's house?" Derek suggested. "Can't." Amber shook her head. "out of the city." Derek was surprised. "How do you know that?" He demanded. "uhh I stopped at a house looking for Elli and the lady there said that She had a nephew named Derek who knew an Elli...?" Amber lied. "Yeah right." Derek scoffed. Amber punched him in the face, causing a bruise in his cheek. "sorry," she said. "my mom's taking me to anger therapy." "she really is trying!" Elli added. "Ooh! what if we, like, change Elli's appearance?" Amber suggested. "I brought hair dye and contacts and stuffing." "That's great!" Elli exclaimed.

AN HOUR LATER

"This is NOT what I had in mind when you said all that stuff," Elli said, looking at her self. Instead of Elli's soft, long brown hair, Amber had cut and dyed it to look like a short blonde. Her eyes were dark brown instead of her natural hazel. and Amber put stuffing (a little bit) in her thighs and chest. "They're looking for an early teen with brown hair and hazel eyes, not a blonde haired, brown eyed, curvy teenager." Amber explained. "But-- my HAIR!" Elli exclaimed. "eh, at least it's cute." Amber laughed. "It IS cute," Elli admitted. "Do you know how to drive?" Amber asked, turning to Derek. "We don't have our licenses." "then how'd you get in?" Derek asked. "I might have snuck in." Amber said smugly. "I have my license," Derek said, going into the driver's seat. Amber went into the passenger seat. Elli went into the back.

When they got to the gate, a guard stopped them. "Names?" he asked, looking at the car. "I'm Derek, this is.." Derek started. "I'm Amber." Amber said. "Who's that in the back?" The guard asked. Elli was trying to figure out what voice to use so he wouldn't recognize her. "That's Rebecca," Amber said, thinking quickly. "She's mute." Elli just nodded. "I see.." The guard said suspiciously, looking closely at Elli. After a few seconds, he said, "okay, you can go." They drove out, celebrating. "I can't believe that worked!" Amber exclaimed. "how long is it gonna take to get there?" Elli asked. "about 40 minutes, Amber said. "Just go the direction the GPS says, she said to Derek. "please turn left onto Yernwood avenue," the voice said. "That's a bit creepy," Derek laughed. They mostly drove in silence, except when they announced that they were ten minutes away. "This is a big city." Derek said. "Just drop us off," Amber said.

"okay, we're here.." Amber said. Derek pulled over. Amber immediately ran to her house, chanting the words: I have to pee. I have to pee. "Well..." Elli said. "Well..." Derek said. Elli smiled, and hugged him tightly ."visit anytime you want," she whispered, choking back tears. she was sad that her adventure was over. "Hey, your words stopped." Derek said. "Wait, you SAW them?" Elli was shocked. "Well, yeah." Derek laughed. Elli laughed with him, then walked home.
