Elli has been going through her most recent breakup when she suddenly gets into her favorite movie, playing the main girl Lana even though she looks and feels the same. Her best friend Amber is determined to get Elli out of the movie.

Elli woke up, 4 weeks later. she was exhausted, upset, and sick. What woke me up? She thought. She looked over and saw her phone ringing. "hello?" she asked. "Elli, what happened?!" Amber cried frantically into the phone. "what do you mean?" Elli was confused. "The movie---it's gone!" "what do you mean it's 'gone'?!" Elli cried, fully awake now. "like, the movie disappeared gone!" Amber said. "Did you see someone take it?" Elli was worried. "NO! IT DOESN'T EXIST!" Amber yelled.

"miss Lana Werin, you have a visitor. please report to the front office."
"Elli, where are you??" Amber asked. "They put me into a mental hospital!" Elli whisper-shouted. "WHAT?!" Amber cried. Elli heard knocking at the door. "I gotta go!" she cried. She hid her phone- it was against the rules- and rushed to open the door. "What." she said to the maid. "You have a visitor." she said. "I know. do you think I'm deaf?" "just come to the office," the maid said, disgusted. "Hey, El-- I mean Lana." A voice rang out. "Derek??" Elli cried. The doctors left. Elli rushed to hug him.

"I called you Lana cuz I don't wanna be stuck in here too." Derek laughed. "I need a way to get out of here!" Elli sobbed. "They think I'm crazy," she mumbled. "I know how to break out of here," Derek said. Elli looked up at him, surprised. "follow me," he said.
