~Oikawa POV~

I was starting to wonder when this nightmare of a day would end. I was on edge ever since my conversation with Koba, and of course my nerves were still high from... well from whatever that was with Iwaizumi earlier. Last night he wanted to take it slow and suddenly we were making out at school in the janitor's closet, and who knows what else we would've done if Koba hadn't come in when he did. And that was a whole other problem in itself. I groaned rubbing his eyes, this was all too much for him right now.

"I would ask what's wrong but I think I already know." Iwaizumi chuckled nudging my shoulder. Considering everything he was in a pretty good mood but it was probably just the full moon, he never knew how much he should attribute Iwaizumi's mood swings to his nature or to just his personality? It all got so complicated, especially because werewolves were so emotionally influenced by their supernatural half. Not that Oikawa was much better, his bloodlust certainly caused some interesting moods...

"I just want to go to practice and go home, I'm already clocked out." I groaned some more just done with today.

"Uhhhhh-"

"What?" I snapped a little harsher than I meant but Iwaizumi didn't even flinch, he was dependable like that, I didn't have to apologize for being me ever.

"We have that meeting with the Nekoma team... and it's the full moon of course so there's that."

"Fuck I forgot, I mean I didn't forget it's the full moon but I forgot about- yeah you know, the other stuff." I threw my bag into my locker slamming the door even though I needed to get my change of clothes.

"You don't have to go if you're not up for it, it's not like you ever have to go." Iwaizumi gently placed a hand on my back rubbing small circles. It jarred me a little a first until I relaxed into his touch. It was unlike him to be so physically affectionate, especially in the locker room. I guess we were both full of surprises today.

"No, no, I should be there I'm the captain afterall." I took a deep breath to compose myself, I couldn't be all out of sorts like this in front of the team, it wasn't right. Iwaizumi was the only one I ever let see me break.

~Iwaizumi POV~

His posture straightened out almost immediately after. How he always managed to put on a mask alluded me even to this day, of course I knew Oikawa's true face but he was able to fake it so well for everyone else. Debately I was the more stable of the two of us, but I couldn't push everything down the way he did. Honestly I was happier not to, I saw the way it ate away at him from time to time.

Practice went by pretty quickly, I had myself and our werewolf teammates mostly running endruance drills today. Had to tire the wolves out on a full moon or else it was just a disaster. Oikawa didn't like me making a habit out of separating the wolf teammates from everyone else but on days like today it was just unavoidable. Especially given some of the younger teammates didn't quite have a handle on everything yet, someone could get hurt on days like these.

"Looking at little extra tired today Iwaizumi, you getting old or something?" Matsukawa quipped at me.

"I could still take you in one go" I chuckled putting him in a headlock, we both laughed before I reluctantly released Matsukawa. I wasn't older but Matsukawa and Hanamaki always treated me like I was, I guess because I was in charge when it came to the wolves, usuaully that was the captain but given that Oikawa wasn't a wolf I just naturally fell into that role as we became third years. I was drenched in sweat today, I think I was still a little tired from what happened earlier today if I was being honest.

It was getting closer and closer to nightfall after practice and I was already starting to feel a little buzzed, though I would argue I had been feeling the effects of the pull all day. I sat perched on the wall outside of the school building waving at my teammates as they trickled out one by one watching the sky ablaze with the setting sun. I would be seeing some of them soon when we met up for the full moon but first I had to met with him

"Iwaizumi-san, Oikawa-san" As if on cue a tall lanky boy approached us from around the corner. His voice was higher but not entirely unpleasant, there was a certain air of mischief to him though that didn't sit well with me.

"Kuroo was your name?" I tried to keep the judgment out of my voice but again I wasn't Oikawa, I didn't know how to put on a mask-like he did.

"That would be me," He shoved his hands in his pockets rocking on his heels, "I came here alone in good faith, I hope I wasn't mistaken." He looked somewhat cautiously between the two of us.

"Of course not," Oikawa chirped matching the other captain's energy, "our team just has a unique situation and so you have to talk to both of us." Oikawa smiled broadly but it wasn't friendly in the slightest.

"I'll keep it short given the day." He cast a glance at the setting sun as his extended his hand for Oikawa to shake. Both he and I shook Kuroo's hands. Pack lines were somewhat hazy in modern times but these days it was a general rule of thumb to go by city, Tokyo was the exception given it's size but as a wolf traveling outside of your own borders it was customary to let the other wolves know of your presence, and it was exceptionally important for Kuroo to announce his team's presence given they'd be spending the full moon here in Miyagi.

"We're just here for a practice match against Karasuno, we'll be gone before tomorrow night. Not that both of you need to know that." He looked pointedly at Oikawa obviously uncomfortable at the vampire being here.

"We already said it's a unique situation," I growled out.

"Hey, hey look I'm not looking to start a fight or anything," Kuroo threw his hands up, "I'm not that kind of wolf."

"Then don't use words that make me think you are." There was still a small growl like tone to my voice, I wasn't just going to keep letting wolves disrepect Oikawa like that vampire or otherwise. Besides, it was clear who was stronger, I was stronger than most wolves, he might've been taller, and was probably faster but he wasn't the forceful strength type like I was. If it wasn't a full moon I wouldn't even have to worry about Oikawa, vampires were stronger than wolves in their human form of course once we turned the game was over but with the exception of on full moons the balance did hang in the vampire's favor.

"Of course, how rude of me to say something like that on your own territory," He smiled but much like Oikawa there was no friendliness in it, "I'll be on my way then, hopefully, we don't cross paths tonight." And with that he melted back into the shadows he came from. It wasn't long meeting but there wasn't much to talk about at these things it was more just to show respect and so the wolves of their territory could identify you if they came across you.

"Awful big talk of his," I snorted grabbing my bag and getting ready to go with Oikawa.

"Hmm, he seemed to know his place to me" Oikawa hummed following behind me.

"No I mean insulting you, I could smell vampire on him close enough that they have to be at least friends," I suppressed another growl, "and yet he had the gall to question you being present." Oikawa snickered a little bit wrapping his arms around my neck. I didn't realize how warm I was already getting from the oncoming full moon until his cool arms embraced me.

"Well it's not like he brought his vampire friend along, maybe he was just jealous." At least Oikawa was acting more like himself again, maybe everything would turn out alright.
