Professor Snape was brewing a potion at the head of the classroom when I'd felt a slight tap on my shoulder.
"So, Ella, who's your date for the Winter ball?" Fred smiled, curiously, knowing that I wouldn't be taking anyone.
"I heard Oliver Wood's been meaning to ask you," George popped off as he gave me a wink.
"Unless you're interested in getting yourselves detention, I suggest you be quiet," I argued, not giving them an answer. However, I was too late, Snape had already walked up behind them and I was terrified of what he might do. To my surprise, he pulled up his sleeves, and slammed their heads together. Shutting them up immediately.
"Maybe next time you'll focus on your studies," Snape scolded in his ever so monotone voice.
"Oh, give them a break, they're just excited that the school years half over," I snapped, before realizing who I was talking to. My eyes grew wide, and Severus looked at me in shock.
"Miss Dawn, I suggest you keep your thoughts to yourself, or I will be seeing you in detention later this evening," he growled.
"Yes, Professor," I breathed, quietly, as I slouched down into my seat.
"Now, Miss Dawn, since you believe you're smarter than everyone else, and don't need to pay attention. Why don't you come up here and tell me what you believe this potion smells like?" Severus demanded, putting me on the spot once again.
