*Dean's pov*
It's the first day back to school and I'm looking forward to seeing Becca. I had gotten a summer job at a camp so I barely got to see her over the summer. Gosh I missed her. I got ready this morning as fast as I could while still making sure I looked good. I ran downstairs to the kitchen, grabbed an apple, kissed my mom on the cheek goodbye and headed to my car. It only took about 5 minutes until I pulled into Becca's driveway and she came charging through the front door of her house and right into shotgun of my car. After finding out she hasn't eaten this morning I drive to her favourite little cafe. Before I can even park Becca has already jumped out of her seat and is already at the cafe doors. I laugh and park the car. Man this girl is something alright. I catch up to Becca only to find her talking to Heather Lorden who has coffee all down the front of her shirt. Oh Becca what did you do? "What's going on here?" I ask standing beside Becca. Before anyone can do anything Heather begins flirting and I mentally roll my eyes. Can't this girl take a hint? I'm not interested in her. She flirts with me every chance she gets. I continue making small talk with Heather as Becca is gazing at me. Eventually Heather leaves complaining that her shirt was getting sticky. I look over at Becca who is still gazing at me soon enough she gets that look on her face that she gets whenever she comes back to reality only this time there's an added bit of embarrasment in her expression knowing she had been caught staring. "See something you like?" I ask smirking at her. "Ya actually your wallet looks pretty good paying for my food now come on" she retorts. Ouch didn't see that one coming. It doesn't take long before the barista is taking our order. Becca goes first ordering her favourite thing to have when its cold out; a hot chocolate and a chocolate chio muffin. The barista then turns to me asking if their is anything I want and attempting to flirt in the process. Her attempts weren't very good and what's up with calling me cutie? I simply tell her no because in all honesty I only came here for Becca. I get out my wallet and pay with my debit just because its easier than digging through all the change. After Becca gets her stuff we head to the door until the barista calls out that I forgot my change. What change? Did she not my debit? After sharing a confused look with Becca I walk over to the counter and try to explain the I shouldn't be getting any change. "I know that silly" she giggles likes its funny "I just needed to give you this" and with that she just hands me a slip of paper with her number on it. Ya no thanks. I walk back to the door where Becca is waiting and can already tell something is bothering her. I hold the door open for her and drop the girls number in the garbage as I leave. The whole ride to school was silent and not the comfortable silence thats nice but the kind of silent when you don't know what to do. "Can you let me out?" She asks her voice indicating she's okay. "Not until you tell me what's wrong. You haven't said a word this whole ride and didn't even eat your muffin" I tell her indicating that she's busted. "It's nothing" she mutters quitely. I decide to just let it slide for now because I don't want to make her mood worse. We walk into school and head to our classes which are right beside eachother. "I'll see you at lunch mouse" I tell her happily while sticking my arms out waiting for the impending hug. "K" is all she says as she slips into her classroom. K? What was that? Where was my hug? I always get a hug. At lunch I'm not taking 'its nothing' for answer. Something is bothering her and I intend to find out.
