Jaiden's POV

We arrive at a small cafe in town

"Wow, is this place new?" I say as I step out of the car

"Yeah, I think they built it like two years ago or something."

I nod and we continue to walk to the entrance. We order a table outside.

"It's nice out this morning!" James comments as we sit down

I silently skim the menu, catching glimpses of James every once and a while.

Why do I have the urge to look at him? I can't be catching feelings..

A waitress comes over to our table and interrupts my thoughts.

"What would you two like to start off with this morning?"

"Some black coffee, please" James said, looking up at the waitress and smiling

"uh.." I said awkwardly

 Quick, Jaiden! Choose something!

 "Uhm.. I'll take the Mocha frappe." I say, still looking at the menu

"Coming right up!" The waitress says enthusiastically

"Well that was a bit awkward." James points out.

"Yeah.. I got lost in my thoughts."

He laughs "I do that too"

We chat as we wait for our food that we ordered after receiving our drinks.

"The fans are so weird, ya know?" James says

"Yeah." I nod

I look around to see if our food is ready, and we seem to be the only ones eating outside.

I don't know if I should feel awkward or happy.. this makes things a bit more intimate..

"Hey, we're the only ones out here!" James laughs

"Yeah, I noticed." I smile

A/N: Wow. This author's note is gonna be a long one, so be prepared. One: I am currently writing on my laptop, and It's my first time writing on my laptop xD. That's also why the number of the chapter has plus signs instead of bullet points. Two: I've noticed how easy it is to get lost in writing, and I'm kinda sad this chapter is ending xD. I'll probably be writing the next chapter after this, though. Three: If you're looking for an un-fluffy fanfic, it probably wont get that way for a few chapters.. I don't even know if it will xD. Four: I looked up Jaiden and James's zodiac signs (because I've been obsessed with them lately for some reason xD). Jaiden is Libra, and James is Taurus (like me! :D). So, of course, I looked up the compatibility and, sadly, it's only 33%. Next chapter out soon!
