James's POV
As we're watching the movie, I feel Jaiden lean on me.

Oh God.. what should I do..?

I decide to just leave her. I look over and notice she's asleep.

She's probably so tired because of how late she stayed up last night.

I push her hair behind her ear and lay my head on her's. I drift asleep.

-the next day-

I wake up and I'm in a fetal position on my couch.

Where's Jaiden? Maybe she left.

I get up and I hear a toilet flush.

That must be Jaiden.

I walk to the bathroom as Jaiden walks out.

"Oh, hi!" Jaiden says, surprised

"Hey.. good morning..?"

They both laugh.

"Want breakfast?"

"Sure" she smiles

We walk to the kitchen

"Hey, I'm not really feeling up to make something." Jaiden says as she leans on the bar

"It's ok, I don't think I have anything" I say as I close the pantry door.

"Want to go somewhere?" I say, walking over to her

"Sure" she smiles

"Should I just stay in my clothes from yesterday or..?"

I laugh "we could stop by your house before we go."

"Ok."

I get dressed and Jaiden waits for me in the living room.

As we're driving Perfect by Ed Sheeran comes on. Jaiden immediately turns the radio off.

"Hey, I like that song!" I say, laughing a bit.

"Sorry, it's just been a little hard to listen to love songs lately.."

"Oh..."

You idiot! She just had her heart broken!

"Sorry"

"It's fine."

The rest of the ride was silent.

We arrived at her house and she didn't take as long as I expected.

We chatted a little on the way there, and I kept asking myself:

Do I like Jaiden?

But I would always answer with no.

A/N: I've been posting everyday! 😂 I hope you've been enjoying it, and I'm excited that one of the authors of a fan fiction I read added my story to her reading list! Should the chapters be longer? I feel like this might be the longest one I've done so far.
