Chapter 11: Roadtrip

Scarlet's P.O.V. *Edited*
I wake up to see a sleeping Jace with some drool coming out of his mouth. I quickly grab my phone and take a picture of him. I realize his arms aren't around my waist so I quickly get out and grab my outfit, which consisted of denim short shorts, a black crop top, and plad sweater that goes around my waist, and my black Nike's. I quickly get dressed in the bathroom and head downstairs. I decided to be nice and make breakfast which consisted of waffles, eggs, bacon, coffee, and orange juice. I heard a pair of feet come down the stairs and into the kitchen. I look to see who it is and its Jace. I give him a small smile and turn back to making breakfast.

"Let me help you," Jace mumbled in a raspy voice. I just nodded my head and he started to help. As I was making the waffle batter, I stuck my finger in it and put in on Jace's nose. A couple seconds later he realized what I had done. He looked at me evily, and he started to walk closer to me. He smiles and then I feel something ooze down my head. I take some of it off and see that it was an egg.

"An egg really?" I question his actions.

"Ya, because I'm doing eggcellent," he smirked. I rolled my eyes and glared at him. I quickly grabbed the whipped cream and sprayed some on him and sprayed some in my mouth. He looks at me with confusion in his eyes I just ignore him and finish making the breakfast. After a few minutes we had the table set, and food in each plate. Since we don't feel like going upstairs and telling them to wake up we do the next best thing.

"AHHHHHHH!" Me and Jace yell that the same time. After a while we see people rushing in.

"What happened?" Lesley asks.

"Oh, nothing," I simply reply.

"Then why the flying pig did you wake is up?" He asks anger clearly evident in his voice.

"Because we made breakfast and didn't want to walk upstairs and get you guys," Jace mumbled frustrated. Lesley rolls his eyes and sits down. The others start to sit down too. Me and Jace ended up sitting beside each other and started to eat. We started to talk about random things. I was talking about my old cat Lesley when Lesley jumped up.

"That's why you call me Lesley the cat!" He exclaimed.

"Yea," I replied. He just looked at me and I raise one of my eyebrows. After that weird moment we started to talk again. Breakfast was good. I got to learn more about Mia and Mason. Soon me and Jace were doing the dishes together.

"Hey Scar, um I'm going on a business trip so I'll be leaving today later on," Jace explained.

"Can I come with you?" I nonchalantly ask.

"Give me one good reason why you should come with me." He smirked.

"Cause I'll make your trip more fun," I simply say while he thinks about it.

"I guess you could come with," he agreed. I was shocked I didn't think he would actually allow me to go with him. "We are going to be gone for a week so pack some clothes," he explained to me. I just nodded my head and went upstairs letting him finish the dishes by himself. Once I get to my room I quickly started packing. I heard a knock on the door so I mumble a quick 'come in.' Jace walks in.

"It's time to go Scar," he murmured, I grab my suitcase, and I follow him to his blue corvette. I quickly put my suitcase in the trunk and climb into the passenger side. Jace quickly gets into the drivers side and starts driving. A few minutes along I allow darkness to consume me.

Jace's P.O.V.
Pretty much as soon as we leave Scarlet starts to snore quietly. I chuckle a bit and turn the music on quietly. I start to hum along. A few hours later we arrive at the hotel we're staying at. I shake Scarlet a bit to wake her up and she groans in frustration. "Let me sleep," she groans her voice raspy from sleeping.

"We are at the hotel," I say and she does nothing. So I get out of the car open her door and pick her up. I close the door with my foot and carry her to our room. I put her in our bed. I quickly take off my shirt and lay beside her, I snake my arm around her waist. I just start thinking of everything we had gone through and after a while I fall asleep.
