After confirming her suspicions about Shawn still being involved in the game, Moni wanted to be alone. She felt lied to, misled. Anything that was similar to the feeling of betrayal. Calming down and gathering her thoughts was just what she needed to do before confronting him.

Pulling out of the driveway in her black, Chevrolet Impala that Shawn had gave to her just a week ago, she decided to go in the direction of the local grocery store.

Whenever she was sad, stressed, or in deep thought, she always turned to food. It always was a comforter.

Within 10 minutes, she arrived in front of a huge supermarket that sat in the middle of a cream colored plaza.

Grabbing a shopping cart, Moni pushed it down the aisle as she scanned the shelves. She grabbed almost everything in sight, not caring about the amount of carbs or sugar that was in them.

She picked up a jar of Nutella and brought it to her face. The chocolate smell was so strong that her mouth began to salivate and her stomach began to turn.

Tempted, she looked around before twisting open the lid and sticking a finger through the sealant. Bringing her finger up to her lips, she closed her eyes put it in her mouth, enjoying the sweet, chocolate taste.

"Having fun?" A familiar male voice asked.

Moni opened her eyes and quickly whipped her head in the direction of the voice. She was surprised to see Jah. He was carrying a basket full of vegetables and meats.

Embarrassed, Moni smiled sheepishly and closed the jar of Nutella, throwing it in her cart. "Kind of sort of."

    Jah nodded. "That's wassup."

"What are you doing here?" She asked as slowly pushed the cart down the aisle.

He lifted up his basket and smiled. "Running errands for my OG."

Moni nodded and continued shopping. Her eyes landed on a box of Captain Crunch that was sitting at the top of the shelf. She outstretched her arms and stood on the tips of her toes, trying to reach the cereal.

Jah laughed as he saw her trying to reach it. Moni turned and cut her eyes at him. "Can I get some help please?"

Jah went over to where she was standing and outstretched his long arm, grabbing the box of cereal, handing it to her.

"Thanks Jah," she said as she threw it in her cart.

Jah shrugged his shoulders, picking up a can of tomato paste. "It's no problem."

There was a bit of an awkward silence as the two went up and down the aisle grabbing things that they needed. Moni then thought about asking Jah a series of questions that regarded Shawn and his ongoing involvement in the game.

"You still in the game right?" Moni asked, raising a brow.

Jah nodded. "I ain't as active as I used to be, but yeah I'm still in that shit."

She sighed deeply before asking the next question. "How long has Shawn been in the game?"

Caught off guard by her question, he quickly swallowed hard and tried to think of what to say. Noticing his body language, Moni knew that he was aware of what was going on.

    "He, um-"

"Look," Moni said, cutting him off. "I know he's like your brother and homeboy, but I'm his girlfriend. I deserve to know the truth about him from you, especially if he's not being 100 with me."
