Chapter 17

Just as Harry realised he hugged the wrong person, Hermione arrived and she shot a glare in the blushing girl's direction. It was a girl from Hufflepuff who is probably crushing on the bewildered boy, Harry.

With a murderous look, Hermione speed walks towards the two, which made Harry gulp visibly. She grabs the wrist of the girl and forces the poor girl to face her. Harry snorts at the scene happening in front of his own eyes, he receives a death glare from Hermione which makes him stop immediately.

"You." Hermione says sternly as she looks at the scared girl, she stares into the girl's eyes as she held her wrists tightly.

Slowly, Ginny and Seamus backs out of the ridiculous scene before they could be spotted. And successfully, they escaped, making Harry helpless.

Feeling that he should do something about this, he speaks up, "He-Hermione, it was a mistake, really. I thought she was-"

"Shut it, Harry."

"Mi-miss G-Granger, p-please, it was a mistake. I promise..."

Hermione sighs as she looked into the girl's eyes, Harry noticed the pitiful look on her face. She finally gives up, "you're lucky I'm kind." she mutters before letting the girl go, who ran away as fast as she could, bumping into a few students on her way.

Harry sighed in relief but when Hermione sent him a glare, he gulped, realising that it clearly wasn't over for him.

Harry's POV

"Listen, Hermione! I really didn't mean to hug her, it was a mistake!" I say, frustration rushing through my veins as I followed Hermione who was walking her way towards the Gryffindor common room rather angrily, clutching her book with a mad look on her face.

She stops in front of the fat lady's painting, with me following behind.

"Password?" the fat lady asks, looking at us with one of her eyebrows raised upwards in an attempt to look intimidating.

"Crinkleberries."

"Correct."

It opens, and Hermione quickly enters, and I follow her, desperate to get her attention. "Hermione!"

"Leave me alone."

I couldn't help but chuckle at her jealous behavior, she's just so adorable. I take a step towards Hermione, who was busy looking for her wand. I was just about to hug her from behind but she points her wand at me, making me abruptly stop.

"Take one more step towards me and I'll hex you." she threatens, narrowing her eyes a bit. "Accio, Potions book."

A potions book came flying out of nowhere and into her hands, she gives me one last glare before sitting down in front of the fireplace, she begins to read it and completely ignore me. I sighed deeply as I sat beside her. I wrapped my hands around her in an attempt to be sickly sweet. "Mione, there's no need to be jealous. It's only you and I forever."

She slowly turns to look at me, holding back a grin. "Oh really? No thanks, you can go back to that girl you hugged earlier," she turns back to reading, ignoring me again.

"But that was an accident, 'Mione!" I complain, hugging her more tightly to get my apology accepted.

This is ridiculous and cute at the same time. She's mad at such a small thing, who knew Hermione has this side of her? I thought as I grin, I grab her book and I throw it across the room, making Hermione sit up straight.

"HEY!" Hermione shouts, good thing we were alone cause if we weren't, people would probably think she's a lunatic.

"'Mione, I'm sorry, alright? Just don't ignore me. I hate it." I say cutely, pouting slightly.

Hermione couldn't help but smile at me, she lightly kisses the tip of my nose, "alright, you big baby." she wraps an arm around me.

"Just promise me one thing, Harry," Hermione buries her head into my chest while I play with her untamed hair.

"What is it?"

"Promise me that you'll never leave me," she looks up at me, making me smile, "that it's you and me forever."

I lean down to capture her lips, it was a soft yet a passionate kiss full of our love for each other. I pull away, only to kiss her lightly on her forehead, then the tip of her nose, and then her lips again.

"Unfortunately, you're stuck with me for the rest of your life, 'Mione."

And I lean down to capture her soft lips, yet again.
