Voidspace, the realm outside.
Voidspace is a world of nothing.
Forgotten creatures and objects reside here.
Everything here is shaped by perception. The only creatures known to travel to Voidspace and back are the Jiil, who gained this power from their Highkings' legacies. Runetabs and other inventions that use VoidLink use this space, creating small pockets of stability in the chaos of voidspace, connected by tunnels to other voidlinked objects. Jiil use these links for many things, but almost none dare to stray too far away from them.
Voidspace is divided in two parts; Linkspace, the part of Voidspace which is used by VoidLink, and Rawvoid, unexplored and dangerous, the majority of VoidSpace is only for the bravest of people to explore.
Draconis often hire Jiil to create special constructs that are linked to them in VoidSpace. These constructs have many applications; either they can be the avatar of said Draconis in VoidSpace, allowing them to explore the vast Linkspace. However, some send cheaper versions of these constructs into Rawvoid in the hope to glimpse or even harness the forgotten or destroyed objects, creatures or Energies, also called VoidSprings, in here.
One of the cheapest of these VoidProx, as the constructs are called, are called VoidHars (singular: VoidHar). These constructs, the size of a human's fist, resembles a beetle without feet. They fly out into Rawvoid, armed with nothing but wits and speed, and seek VoidSprings for their masters to harness. When they find a VoidSpring, they link back to their master's VoidLink, creating a tiny tunnel between the VoidSpring and the original LinkSpace domain of the VoidLink used to tap the Spring. Most people try to protect the tunnels, protecting it with VoidProx Flamers against the notorious Tenus Jiil (and, as some sources say, even Lux Jiil) who would tap into their Springs. However, some people open up these tunnels for Public Access, either out of benevolence or to further their own agenda.
VoidProx Cours are small constructs the size of a soccer ball. They are used to transport information between two links. The factions that run LinkSpace rent these Cours out to other users. They are also used to tap VoidSprings. They are some of the fastest VoidProx, able to reach speeds of approximately 2.000.000 steps per hour (305 kilometers per hour or 190 miles per hour) and turning ethereal, allowing them to safely travel through LinkSpace without hitting anything.
VoidProx Stakers are constructs that are the size of a handpalm. They are barely VoidProx, their only use is to be a beacon for other VoidProx to navigate on. They are small plates of metal that move at about the same speed of a human, have zero defense or offense and can barely travel for longer than three hours before powering down. Usually, they are carried by Cours down the end of the line before hovering off to become the next beacon. Black stakers are equipped with invisibility enchantments, which make them a prized tool for VoidGlyphers to tap into other Springs. The most expensive ones, Dark Stakers, not only can turn invisible, but can rewrite a Cours' instructions, hijacking them to either deliver their cargo somewhere else or to leave a copy at another Link.
VoidProx Flamers are the guardians of LinkSpace. The size of armoured humans, these hardy constructs use specialistic weaponry that can easily take down any VoidProx type, and can even be dangerous to a Jiil wandering into it's area. They are the most expensive Voidproxes
VoidProx Scrives are floating orbs the size of a tennis ball, resembling eyes. They can be used to transcribe messages from Cours for other Cours to pick up.
VoidProx Faces are constructs that look like a human. Their appearance and behaviour is designed by it's owner, and it's either someone's avatar in LinkSpace or it inhabits a domain, to trade, interact with other people or perform tasks for their owners.
Glyphers are individuals who learned to understand how VoidSpace flows and twists, and, even more important, learned how to influence the VoidProx. Tenus are the most gifted Glyphers.
LinkSpace is filled with all kinds of interaction; people set up small towns in a domain, populated by Faces and Jiil, interacting with other people and Jiil selling wares to others. Wars can be fought in the LinkSpaces, flowing into neighbouring Domains, or peace can be brokered. LinkSpace and RawVoid both have a great potential, and it's amount of users is growing exponentionally.
