**DEVAN'S POV**

I sat in the passenger seat of Demarques' all black 2013 Chevy Tahoe as he parked in front of my apartment building. The pain from my tattoo was slowly  returning again. I can't wait to get inside and pop some more pills. "Thanks again for helping me out tonight. It probably wouldn't have turned as well as it did if you hadn't let me tat you." Mar repeated for the tenth time tonight. Once everybody saw his work displayed across my back, people were lining up at the ink booths. Out of the two-hundred people that showed up, over half of them left with a new tattoo.

"Anytime." I smiled leaning over the center console  to give him a hug goodnight. "And don't forget our deal. Lunch is on you next week!" He chuckled slightly in my ear.

"I got you" He agreed releasing me from the hug. I shot him one last smile before hopping out of his car and heading upstairs to my apartment.

A bubble bath is much needed right now. I stripped down and ran the water making sure it was the perfect temperature before stoping the drain. I picked up the bottle of my favorite bubble bath ready to pour it in. "Shit." I cursed, shaking the empty container. I smiled to myself remembering I always keep a bottle in the guest bathroom. I shut the water off before wrapping my silk robe around my body. I walked out of the room and stood in front of the guest bedroom door, knocking three times.

"August?" I spoke. My ear pressed against the door listening for a response. Nothing. I slowly pushed the door open stepping inside. The room was dark and empty. It looked exactly the same as he left it earlier today. My head began to spin, realizing I haven't spoke to him since I dropped him off at the radio station.  "I'll call you, iight?" I ran to grab the bubble bath before dashing back across the hall. I threw the bubble bath on the bed before searching through my purse for my phone.

After rummaging for the third time, I just dumped everything on my bed beside me. "Where the hell is my--" A knock at the door interrupted my search. I got up from the bed and made my way through the apartment to the front door. I rolled onto my tip-toes to look through the peep hole. I was shocked to see Demarques standing out in the hall.

Flipping the latch and unlocking the deadbolt, I swung the door open. Before I  could say anything he held my phone up in front of me. "Forget something?" I placed my hand over my chest, breathing a sigh of relief before jumping on him for the second time tonight.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I squealed tightening my arms around his neck.

"Yeah. No problem. Just call me your Superman 'cause if you keep jumping on me like this, you gone understand the true meaning behind Man Of Steel." I laughed getting off of him and stepping back into the doorway of my apartment. He smiled placing his hands in his pockets.

"Goodnight, Demarques." I said stepping forward once more to kiss his cheek.

"Iight. See you soon, beautiful." I watched as he disappeared down the stairs before going back inside my apartment. I locked the door and returned back to my room to enjoy the rest of my night in the tub surrounded by bubbles. I leaned up against the bathroom  sink watching the tub slowly fill in front of me.  I pulled my phone from the pocket in my robe. Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook notifications, a couple text messages., and a few missed calls, but nothing from August. Maybe I should call and check on him?  I shook my head at how crazy I sounded.

August is a grown ass man. So what hes not home yet. He has a key, he can let himself in. That's not my man. I can't keep trippin' like he is. Opening the Pandora app, I hooked my phone up to the speaker beside the sink.  Treat Me Like Somebody echoed around me as  I untied my robe, letting it fall from my shoulders, checking to see that the waterproof bandage Mar put on me was still in place. Seeing that it was, I slowly emerged myself in the tub.  I calmly bathed, relaxing myself for a good night sleep.

.....NEXT MORNING.....

Buzz.BuzzBuzz.Buzz.

The sound of my phone vibrating disrupted my deep sleep. I opened my left eye just enough to grab my phone from the nightstand. I sat up, wiping the drop of drool from the corner of my mouth. Without looking at the caller ID, I slid the green bar over to answer it. "Hello?" My voice expressing my unfinished sleep.

"Daaamn. Is this Devan or the lady from those throat cancer commercials?" I kissed my teeth. This nigga can't ever just say good morning.

"Whatever August." I hissed before clearing my throat.

"Don't be mad at me cause you wake up sounding like a pack of Marlboro cigarettes." He laughed, forcing me to fight my smile and roll my eyes.

"Whats sooo important that you had to call and wake me up out my sleep anyway?" I asked looking over at the time. 9:22. I Need to be getting up anyway. I scheduled gissy an appointment with her Vet for today. She been acting weird lately. She won't eat, she sleeps all day, and if she is awake, she mopes around. I looked over my shoulder. Gissy stretched out beside me with her head between her paws. I reached over, running my fingers along her back. She groaned nuzzling closer to me. I hope its nothing too serious. I don't know what i'd do if I lost my baby girl.

"Oh. What you got going on today?"

"Not much. I have to take Gissy to the vet then i'm meeting Justice for lunch. Why wassup?"

"I can't give you all the details right now, I just need you to be ready around five o'clock today."

"You always got something up your sleeve, Aug."

He Chuckled.

"Belie' that. Gotta keep 'em guessing" Our conversation was interrupted by a woman's voice in the background.

"Alright Mr.Alsina. Just sign here and here and it's all yours!"

"August? Who is that?"

"Uh nobody, ma. Look I gotta go. I'll see you later, aight?"

"What?  Wait you didn't even tell me how everything went yesterday!"

"I can show you way better than I can tell you, ma." He chuckled. "Oh and make sure you pack a bag for tonight."

"What do you mean you can show me better than you can tell me? Pack a bag for what? Why you always gotta turn everything into a Riddle?!" He only  laughed at my frustration.

"See you later, D." He hung up before I could say anything else. I shook my head.  I got up and went into the bathroom to start my day. Hopefully it'll end with some answers.
