No Wish Ever

-Vernon POV-

My weekend started out great, but ended with a huge bang. Legitimately.

Melo is hiding something from me and I can't stop wondering what it may be. I was right this whole time and I feel dumb as fuck for not confronting her sooner. It all happened right when I told her how I truly feel.

It hurt, I regret ever saying those words to her, they were sincere... now I don't know if they are because Melo got me second guessing myself.

Those stupid friends of her are the biggest cock blockers I've ever met. Taehyung wasn't in the hospital, I'm sure he lied.

What if there's something they're all hiding? They all come off as very secretive. Like they have a bond that's unexplainable.

It's kind of weird.

They're always together... as in every second of everyday.

I think they live together too.

And to be honest Kaylees group of friends are the same way, Mark I think his name is- isn't here anymore either. I don't know what the hell happened to him.

None of this is making sense.

All of this just raises my suspicion even more.

Why didn't I notice sooner?

"Vernon~"

Kaylee approached me while I was by my locker.

"Sup." I replied and shut it then looked at her.

She was very content today, I guess her and Wonho are back on good terms.

"How was your weekend? Did you and Melo have a good time?" She asked.

I scoffed slyly and started to head to class.

"Woah.. I'm guessing somethings wrong?" She questioned as she followed beside me.

I'm surprised her slaves aren't with her.

"Vernon?" Kaylee nudged me.

"Can you just leave me alone?" I snapped at her  and stopped in the middle of the hallway.

Kaylee took a step back, "What the fuck?" She snapped back.

"Everything has been a bit weird lately." I told her, "Like how weird it is that Mark isn't around anymore."

Her eyes widen slightly.

"Yeah, don't think I haven't noticed." I warmed.

Kaylee looked like she had been caught red handed but she played it cool, "What are you talking about?"

"Yeah just act dumb." I said, "it'll only help me figure out what's really going on around here."

She remained silent.

I scoffed, "Hanging around them all the time, fighting like you're trying to be better than each other. Vanishing randomly. Acting non human, calling each other different names then claiming it's just a nickname, pretending like they're your pets or something."

Her brows furrowed "I haven't done shit to you for you to be confronting me—"

"Just admit that you and Melo are both hiding something!" I yelled. "I know it because you and Melo are acting like you both have a secret. All those boys. Your friends? They aren't who they say they are, but I'm not sure what they may be either. But I am going to find out. Enough is enough."

"Vernon." Someone called.

Kaylee gasped slightly.

I turned around and locked eyes with Melo.
