He's Just That Boy

-Kaylee POV-

This past month has been one of the best months in my life, it's unbelievable.

Melo is my best friend now.

Who would've thought?

We do everything together, we're inseparable.

I quit my job at the coffee shop and took a part time job at the animal shelter with Melo.

Jin and Namjoon are the sweetest. They took me in and trained me with no trouble.

I'm no longer a mean girl. Except when I have to be.

As for my boys, they have had their hands full since they've been hanging out a lot with Melo's boys.

Melo and I hardly ever see them, except on the weekends when they battle it out with other talented groups.

They always win so it's always a good weekend.

I must say, although I'm content with where I stand now and how things are going something still bothers me.

Wonho.

He bothers me.

Almost every other minute I find myself thinking about him and wondering what he's up to. What the guys are up to.

I feel bad for cutting them all off but I just can't bare to face Wonho just yet.

We broke off on bad terms and it'd be awkward to continue being associated around the same group.

He's never called or even bothered to text me. It makes me feel like I shouldn't keep hoping that we'll somehow get back together.

All this pain is making me miss Mark as well.

My baby.

He hasn't come back yet, what's taking him so long? Did he lie to me?

The rest miss him as well and they always howl for him.

If he were here everything would be better.

At least that's how I feel.

"Are you thinking about Wonho again?" Melo asked as she suddenly sat next to me in lunch.

I sighed and played with my food, "I'm caught red handed."

She giggled, "Lighten up, Kaylee. I'm sure there's someone way more suited for you than Wonho."

"And who may that be?" I asked and ate some of her fries.

"I mean--"

"A guy who's willing to tolerate your kind of needs." Vernon answered out of no where.

He sat beside his lovely girlfriend and planted a kiss on her cheek, "Haha. Exactly, just give it time." Melo said with a smile.

Why can't I have what they have? They make it seem like nothing goes wrong between them, like they were made for each other.

Sigh.

"Kaylee? You there?" Melo asked and waved her hand in my face.

I snapped out of it, "Anyway, what's the plan for the weekend?"

Vernon put his arm around Melo, "Actually, I invited Melo over to my house for dinner. It's my little sister's birthday and she wants Melo to be there so.. that's our exclusive plan this weekend."

"Aww. How adorable, are you guys gonna go for a night walk too and hold hands and kiss under the moonlight afterwards?" I sarcastically asked.
