Draco sat close to the window. He enjoyed looking at the view and telling Naomi stories
about what he saw. Sighing, Draco closed his eyes and listened to the sounds of the train. His
body rocked with the movement of the train. Draco found it hard to stay awake and soon drifted
into sweet oblivion.

Draco opened his eyes to a dark room. He sat up slowly and looked around. He had been laying in a bed that was pushed against the far wall. He swung his legs out of the bed and onto
the cold, stone floor. He stood and walked around the room, taking in the stains on the floor and
walls. He rubbed his left forearm and felt something new against his fingertips. Draco rolled up
the sleeve of his dirty shirt and found something that made him want to throw up. Red, inflamed
skin surrounded a dark green and black tattoo that hadn’t been there minutes ago. The mark
reminded him of the one that he had seen on Lucius’ arm many times before. And it scared him.

The door flew open and a scratching noise could be heard. Something was tossed into the room with Draco, the door shutting as quickly as it had opened. The thing moved it’s dirty
blonde hair out of it’s face and Draco found himself face to face with his youngest sibling.

“Mimi!? Mimi, what are you doing here?” Draco dropped to his knees and pulled her into
his lap.

“Co? What’s wrong? Why are you crying, Co?” Naomi brushed a soot covered hand across his face leaving a trail of black.

“I was scared Mimi. I was scared.”

“Did they hurt you?”

“Did who hurt me?”

“The men Co. The scary men in black robes and gold masks. They scare me and hurt me Co!” Naomi sobbed and pulled herself as close to Draco as she could get. “Their mean Co. They
beat up Greyson because he couldn’t answer fast enough and put Twyla in a cupboard because she couldn’t sit still. Co, their so mean! I’m scared Co. What are they going to do to me and
you?”

Draco sat in silence for a few seconds. Men in black robes and gold masks? Who were they?

“It’s going to be ok Mimi. I’m right here and I’m not going to let anything happen to you. I promise. The scary men won’t be able to get you anymore. But you have to promise to stay strong, ok? Promise me Mimi.”

“I prom-”

“How sweet. A boy taking care of his pet.” A new voice joined the two sitting on the floor. The door swung open once more and the men that Naomi had been talking about came into the room. One of them grabbed Naomi out of Draco’s arm and flung her across the room. She
landed on the bed and started to cry even more. Draco felt a hand wrap around his upper arm and
was pulled to a standing position.

“Hmm, it seems that you are cooperating less and less these days. We must find a way to
fix that.” The person speaking walked into the room and pulled off the black hood covering his
face.

“You,” Draco hissed at the man standing in front of him. The man smiled and glanced
over at Naomi in disgust.

“Yes, me. Dear boy, you should know better than to allow your pets to misbehave. I’ll have to punish you as well.”

“You BASTARD! Naomi is NOT anyone's pet!” A knife came to rest against his throat as his struggles to get free increased. “You will never get away with this Voldemort.”

Voldemort turned away from him laughing. “Oh? But I already have.”

Draco watched in slow motion as Voldemort raised his wand and pointed it at Naomi’s chest. He felt like he was underwater as he heard the spell and watched the green light arch and race towards the body of his baby sister. His steel-blue eyes met her vivid, fear-struck blue over
the top of the green. Naomi’s lips moved silently, forming the words that Draco had heard many
times, “I love you.” And then it was over. Her body slumped forward and fell off the bed. It hit the concrete with a soft thump. Nothing saving the body from the impact. Tears scorched down Draco’s face as he watched the body. Willing it to move, to twitch,
to do anything except lay there.
