Chapter 4 - A New Beginning

(A/N: I do apologize for the cringe ending from last chapter but it will not be updated before the next chapter so that it stays cringe. Enjoy this video because I thought it was funny and chapter which I made.)

Velvet POV

I don't know what happened between those two for them to join together so quickly but they just started to run off somewhere together and left me behind. It was so sudden I had absolutely no idea what they were going to do but it was if they both had the same mind. I wasn't really paying attention to their conversation before because I was trying to calm down Coco then calm down myself from trying to calm Coco.

After a few short moments I began to hear running down the halls but coming towards me. There were more then a few people there and it seemed like they were trying to get away from something. It was as if a Grimm horde had infested the school and no one was prepared or had any combat experience. Even most of the third years were running away. They were supposed to be prepared no matter what for a Grimm attack meaning that it isn't Grimm.

Moments passed when I realized that they all came from where both (Y/N) and Coco went. Since I hadn't seen them I immediately thought that they were hurt by something or someone and couldn't escape. So I tried running against the crowd only to be pushed back with no way through. The crowd was so dense that I imagined that I could go above and run along the top of them. It may hurt them but my friends are in trouble.

Jumping up on top of the crowd I immediately hear people shout out at me in pain and annoyance but I didn't exactly care at the moment. I began to run using them as an elevated flooring ignoring all the pained groans until I saw a large figure that looked rather familiar. Most probably the tallest person in the whole academy and possible the strongest but not the best.

Trying to tackle the large figure I jumped forwards aiming to hook around his neck so he could help me. The more I descended the more I felt like I jumped slightly early. Thinking I would miss I closed my eyes hoping that I made contact with him and not the floor. Moments passed as I was anxiously awaiting my fall to the floor but it never came. When I opened my eyes I saw Yatsuhashi, arms extended towards me, holding me in the air.

I was glad I never made contact with the floor and wanted to thank him for catching me but the first words that came out of my mouth were a quiet and pained "Please, Help me." He was immediately concerned for me but what I didn't realized was that my eyes were starting to tear from the worry I felt for Coco and (Y/N). Without another word he put me on his shoulders and simply asked "Where?"

My only response was "Where everyone came from." He nodded and without another word being said he started to clear a path through the crowd. His stature was that of a boulder with a small village in its path. Nothing was able to stop him from going forward against the crowd. Moments passed as I finally realized that we were heading toward the cafeteria. The main source of the event that makes the others flee.

Upon reaching the cafeteria doors Yatsuhashi tried to open it but to no avail. The doors were shut tighter than me in bed, trying to sleep, at night. After a while I tired desperately to open them but again to no avail. Whilst Yatsuhasi was watching my struggle it seemed like he was waiting for something. The immediate moment after I stumbled back from the doors after my consistent efforts to open it to rammed into the door, shoulder first.

It started to open slightly however the space we could see through was still to small to see what was blocking it shut. Every slam into the door produced a slightly larger gap to see in but it was all black. Nothing was visible until the final slam. Upon that final slam we realized that most of the tables were stacked against the door to stop any intrusion. A tower that collapsed at the sheer strength of the final push against the door.
