katherine is a good girl, through and through (at least, when she isn't a creature of the night). she grew up going to catholic school in new york, and eventually went into college with high honors. she values her academics overall, and her wit is truly impeccable. she cares a great deal about her reputation, and has no time for relationships or dumb hookups. kat has no tolerance for anyone else's sass, but boy this girl has a mouth. she is pretty arrogant and can be overly confident in herself, and a bit of a priss. she is quick and witty and sarcastic, and easily annoyed. but, kitty only serves this tongue to those who deserve it. to her superiors and anyone kind, she is more soft and kind and very able to laugh. with her few friends, she is still known to be brash but loves to laugh with them and have a good time. she is extremely loyal to these friends, and her family.

katherine was born a werewolf, both her parents being from known and powerful werewolf blood lines. her parents, dominique and mateo blake were fierce and pretty demanding. but, with mateo being the alpha of the pack, called "the lunas", he had to be hard on his children. they loved their daughter and her brothers relentlessly, but it was always a tough love. her brothers, chase and alexander, were kat's best friends growing up, despite their constant teasing. the trio did everything together, and would aid one another in their parent's strict raising.
one day, alexander went out hunting. it was dangerous; a full moon night. and tensions over land and blood were high with the rival pack. alexander was told to not go out, but he was always the most daring and careless. he thought it would all be fine. kat and chase didn't even know he had gone out.
her brother trespassed and was killed by the rival pack.
