adalia is by no question; a beauty. she has tan, sunkissed skin, heaps of curls that dance magically as she swims, and deep, dark eyes that capture attention. adalia is petite and slim, like any other mermaid. but even in her human form, she's still only just reaching about 5'3. she has a sharp jawline and plump, pink lips, and a wide but small nose. she has high cheekbones and dark, arched brows. her voice is light and quiet, much like her overall disposition. her tail is an artistic mixture of red, blue, and yellow (pictured above but w/o the extra fins). commonly in mermaid culture, tail colors are used to help define a person by first look. basically, it's the way to 'judge a book by its cover'. but...adalia is the exception. her tail is all bright and showy colors; it stands out in a crowd and doesn't allow her to just, blend in. and well, she hates it. all addie wants is to sink into the crowd her keep her mouth shut. she's one to go with the flow, but her tail shows her as someone else. but little does she know, it's who she later becomes.

personality; "yes, mother..."

adalia is your perfect princess. she's beautiful, she obeys, and keeps to herself. she is simply seen as a pretty little fool, without a care in the world. addie is soft spoken and kind, slow to anger and often biting her lip. she's rather observant and perceptive of other's feelings due to her own reserved nature, and is always there to offer a shoulder to cry on. she prioritizes her kingdom and the safety of her younger siblings over herself, and has simply accepted her fate to yield the crown. but deep down, she craves another life. she wants to be loud and bright, and fall in love and give her heart to another. but alas, that's irrational for a princess. adalia is rather hesitant to trust others, after seeing the relentless corruption and deceitful attitudes in the marine family itself. she's very intelligent after receiving years of the best education, and she has good critical thinking skills. she beautifully maintains her calm and "go with the flow" attitude in stressful situations, and her mother finds this to be one of the most important things for a young queen. she is a strong advocate of peace, and sees no reason for wars and battles.

fears; adalia fears letting her kingdom down, and more specifically her mother. she is terrified of screwing up her entire nation as their ruler, and doesn't know how she could handle the blame and guilt. she fears becoming stone-like and deceitful like her mother; and hopes to never sink to that level.

goals;
-finding herself; adalia will be exposed to things she's never seen before, and her true bright colors will finally show. she has always loved land people and creatures, and she'll learn a great amount from them.
-love; as this is one of the things she's craved for years, she will likely meet somehow that makes her heart skip a beat and make her feel like she's more than just a pretty little fool with a golden crown
-her kingdom; restoring her kingdom and people to their former glory, and leaving behind the rough past and corruption

fun facts;
-she has 6 younger siblings. in order of youngest to oldest they are: elizabeth, antonio, penelope, katherine, and mateo.
-her father was a war hero and passed away before she was born in battle
-she collects human artifacts that she collects from the water, and is mystified by the objects

plot thingies;
-adalia is ,well, a princess. her mother is the queen of the colony of sirens residing in the great barrier reef, and the crown has been in the marine bloodline for centuries. adalia is the eldest of her siblings, therefore putting her in place to be queen next. this is a lot of pressure, to say the least. all royalty is full of greed and corruption and superficial smiles. adalia never even wanted the crown, the riches, or any of it. she constantly yearned for a more fulfilling life, one where she could live on land, travel, and leave the barricades of the reef and the careful and strict watch of her mother. but she was raised to obey, to hold her words and be a pretty little fool. she cannot just leave, as it is her duty to herself, her family, and her kingdom to become queen. so, she's got some pretty bad mommy issues and fear of her pre decided future.

-adalia wants to be free and learn and experience new things. since she was a little girl, she's had a bit of 'the ariel affect', in which she has been constantly entranced by humans and their culture. she is baffled by the things they do and create, and once she takes the throne she hopes to unite the siren empire more peacefully with humans and the supernaturals. she wants to fight for the merpeople, but the only way to truly do that is to meet with other creatures firsthand. but her mother dismisses the idea every time. so let's just say, adalia has manyyy reasons to rebel.

-love. love is one of the most powerful things. as a siren, she has the power to seduce and capture and kill passing pirates with her beauty and voice. but she's never used this power; since her mother said it was much too dangerous and poor for a princess. but still, adalia dreams of falling in love and giving her heart to another, despite how much her mother dismisses the idea. adalia cannot bear the thought of living alone for the rest of her life, and craves a love unlike any other.
