name; ariel

meaning; she is the angel of nature and the natural world, and works to protect the earth & the creatures on it. she also assists humans in need of natural resources (water, shelter, food).

nickname; usually called el or ella by her human friends, and she's grown to love it

species; angel

age; she looks to be about 20, but she's about 100 years old; rather young for an angel.

appearance;

ariel is no exception to her kind; and is the classic definition of an angel. in her natural human form, she's about 5'3 and has a slim and athletic build. her movements and battle stances are very fluid and smooth; much like water itself. she has layers of blonde curls and waves that fall a few inches past her shoulders, and it commonly gets frizzed in the hot weather. her skin a pale white and is beautifully peppered with freckles, something that she has learned to love over the years. el has naturally pink/redish lips that are usually formed into a flashy and beautiful smile. she has wide and intriguing doe eyes, that appear in a clever mixture of blue and green. ariel had dark brows, a small but sharp nose, and a slim face with deep smile lines.

persona; ariel is, well, angelic. she's vibrant and caring, always ready to give herself up for the greater cause. she's determined and fearless, which can sometimes cause her to make some rather dumb decisions in a fight. but; in her eyes she's just doing the right thing.

ella is rather charming as well, and quick to care for those around her. she's charismatic and appealing to all those who meet her. she's witty and kind and always ready to offer a shoulder to cry on. she's very apologetic, even if it's not her fault, and is slow to anger.

on the other hand, she's always extremely stubborn and set in ways, and not prone to change. she likes all things in her life to be neat and clean, and can't stand a messy situation. el can be rather emotional sometimes, though she  always tries her best to keep the smile on her face for those around her.

el is passionate about the earth, obviously, and is happy to lend a hand to the cause. it's her job to protect the natural world, and she's very proud of it. she can sometimes get a bit cocky about her position and closeness to god and the higher angels, but once she realizes she's a bumbling mess of apologies. through and through, ariel is a kind hearted and helpful angel with a determined goal of saving the earth.

powers;
-she has control of the elements (earth, water, fire, & air) but only her water abilities are really helpful in a battle.
-she has the ability to communicate with wildlife, and summon them for help.
-she has some healing and transportation abilities due to her light magic, but these drain her mentally and physically.

backstory; ariel is a archangel created by god himself, and her true form is basically a blurred form of a woman, with long golden locks and glowing skin, surrounded by pools of light and elements of the earth. she has spent all her life in heaven, and is considered a 'baby' angel compared to other archangels. she chose this human body at about year 50, once she was given the option to continue in her true form and do her duties from heaven or yield a vessel and work down there herself. she quickly opted for the human form, as she wanted to be able to go on earth herself and work for the natural sources, the animals, and the people in need. el is very trusted and loved by god and most angels, and she is envied for it. since she is the embodiment of light; ella was obviously raised to despise all darkness and hate. she has had multiple missons of eliminating the dark beings from hell, and she's proud to have this duty. el lives in an empty forest not too far out from town, and provides everything she needs for herself. she has made a decent amount of friends in her time, and she refrains from drinking in order to keep her body in check. she commonly spends her days writing, working at the church, helping the animals and people, and doing her missions from god.
