Chapter Five: Hey There Superman

I sat in the janitor closet until the lunch bell rang. And once it did, I peeked out to see if the halls were filled yet and surprisingly there weren't many students so I walked out unnoticed.

I didn't really do anything after texting Leo, I told him not to mention anything to Blake and soon after I drifted off.

My dream was quiet strange now that it was mentioned... It was just us, Keydah, Bennett and I, everything seemed normal, like he did he new friends, like he didn't leave, like he didn't- never mind. That's enough about my dream. Let's go back to reality here.

I walked to my locker that just so happens to be between Keydah's and Naomi's so there's no way to dodge the questions that are gonna be coming soon.

Or is there?

"Alexa where the hell have you been?!?" Keydah screamed, yanking me away from my locker.

"Hey language!" Declan scolded whole Naomi covered her ears.

"What? She's never heard a cuss word before?" Keydah asked.

"She doesn't like them." Jordan answered.

"Still taking up on my offer Alexa?" He asked with everyone in our little circles attention drawn on us. He started to flex his muscles and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Sure why not." I gave in. Jordan's cute, he seems like the little brother of the group but I mean, he can't be goofy all the time right?

Keydah cleared her throat before shutting my locker and pulling me by my ear towards the opposite end of the hall.

"Ow Keydah! Ow-"

"Spill." She demanded.

"Spill what?" I waved my empty hands up and down, and side to side to show her I have nothing to spill.

"Where the hell were you Eldridge?" She asked again this time raising her voice on the last part.

"Shh! Keep it down damnit!" I grabbed onto her shoulders and looked up at her before letting out a deep sigh, "I was in the janitor closet god damn."

She pushed me off her shoulders and stood back with her arms crossed, "And why were in you in the janitor's closet?"

I take a quick glance over to the group of four that's standing near Naomi's locker with Bennett leaning on mine. Our eyes meet but I quickly look away hoping Keydah didn't noticed the little electric shock.

But she did. Of course she did.

"Oh for heavens sake.." She started. She didn't finish until she pulled me over by my wrist lightly to our lockers where I had to ask Bennett politely to move the f out of my way, except without saying the f word.

I opened up my locker once more and she did the same. When our books were organized and Naomi and her friends were waiting, she slammed her locker and mine at the same times.

She pushed Bennett and I closer to each other so we could hear the words coming out her mouth and nobody else in the group could (thank god).

"Just jump his bones already Lex." She whisper yelled.

I gasp and stopped walking completely while Bennett just smirked (yes, Bennett Frazier actually smirked.) and nodded his head walking off to join his friends at the lunch table. How did he take that so lightly?

"Alexa! You coming?!" Naomi called out.

I couldn't find myself to speak so I simply just nodded and headed over to the table taking my seat, as promised, next to Jordan.
