Chapter 4

I know what your probably wondering 'are you and Chase together? '

Sadly no we aren't but I'm getting there, for now I just have to stick to the friend zone.

Now I know why Bree went all panick mayhem when Ethan was going to ask her out.

It's nerve wrecking and to think I almost just want to fall on my knees and do anything he says, Almost.

After the dance me and him have been extremely close, so close that I almost spilled the secret about me being a super.

I know, I know, it's frightening but at least I didn't and that's a good thing, sorta.

OK I really want to tell him but I can't and every time I bring myself to tell him I get all tounge tied and start to stutter and me being the school's bad girl you know that's not normal.

Leo found out by trying this new invention he made (he's a techie and an inventor) which makes me spit out the truth.

"There's something your not telling me Mia. Come on I won't tell anyone" Leo complained but I shook my head.

"Sorry Leo but no"

That's when Leo smirked and took out a machine pointing it at me "you had your chance Mia"

I rolled my eyes and said "really Leo. That stupid invention,  you already know I speak my mind"

After a few moments of silence I couldn't help it so I babbled "ok I'll tell you. I have a crush on your brother and he's supercute but I don't know if he likes me the same way I like him. Wait what if Chase  only thinks of me as a friend and nothing more? Then what would happen, I have never felt this way, what if someone else came along and took Chase from me. Will it-"

"Zip it!" Leo exclaimed making my mouth zip shut.

Sighing happily he shrieked "finally! You were kind of getting on my nerves with your babbling. Now, you have a crush on Chase, it's going to get me a while to get use too it but I'll pull through. Sort of"

Bree almost found my Lair a few times and I've been panicking on figuring out a different way to hide it.

She also almost caught me using my powers and Leo use some of his inventions, like the time Leo and I switched bodies for a day, oh the horror.

She saw me in Leo's body practicing my flexibility and Leo in my body eating a burger. A Burger! I don't usually

eat anything fattening.

Why? Easy, it's because I want to stay in shape for when I battle crime.

Thankfully we switched back before anyone noticed.

Not so lucky when my parents found out.

Leo was soar for days because I was stretching in his body and as payback for the burgers I did the splits every 5 minutes so when Leo came back into his own body he wadded everywhere.

Also Leo isn't doing a good job at keeping the bionic's secret a secret, last night while riding my stationary bike I saw Leo on TV during Tasha's 'big break' story about being the hero who stopped the train.

I immediately flashed out of my house when the story was over and ran inside Tasha's house seeing Leo be given a stern talking too.

"I can't believe you did that Leo! " shrieked Tasha crossing her arms.

I ran inside the house in a short purple cami, black shorts, a white towel around my neck, and my hair braided to the side but some of it was plastered down to my face with sweat.

"Leo why in the world where you on a runaway train?" I asked him placing my hands on my hips.

He shrunk deeper into the couch facing the ground as we both stared at him expecting an answer.

"Well it wasn't exactly my fau-"

Leo was cut off by someone walking into the room saying "Tasha it really wasn't his faul-woah"

Turning around I saw Chase staring at me, unmoving, eyes wide, lips parting, as if he was drooling.

"Of course it was his fault! He went on a train going at god knows what and didn't listen to Mr. Davenport after he specifically told him not to. What if something had happen Oh dios no puedo ni siquiera imaginar lo que había sucedido, si se lesionó. Él es mi primo, después de todo y lo que si el tren no se detuvo-"

"Mia! Stop babbling in Spanish. I can barely understand you!" Yelled Leo exasperated.

Tasha and I exchanged looks, then looked back at Leo and said in unison "well then, maybe you shouldn't have gone on the train in the first place"

I looked over at Chase and he still hasn't moved from his spot scaring me a little.

"Chase? Are you okay? " I asked him but he still didn't move.

Leo scoffed and said "he's under shock from seeing you in a small shirt and shorts. Give it a minute and he'll be fine"

"Don't think that you're off the hook Leo" Tasha scowled.

Yet after that wild weekend everything went back to normal, or as normal as it can be.

I've been pulled out of my math class so many times to fight crime it's insane and every time I'm actually in class I don't understand a word they say.

My teacher wants me to be tutored but I don't have the time especially when my brother is so busy with college interviews.

I'm barely getting enough sleep as it is and I've been missing not just math but every other class.

During nutrition and lunch I have to rapidly change into my super outfit and fly out, then come back and change.

If I wasn't fit this would definitely be a challenge.

Everyone has been concerned about my health and schoolwork but honestly I don't see a big change.

I can definitely handle the stress, hopefully...
