New day, new school, new girl, new friends.

Well, I don't know about the friends part.

I know I'll be stereotyped as the 'good girl.' I always am. Because that's who I am - the good girl, who gets straight A's and studies hard every night. My dad saved for Harvard, and nobody doubts I'll get in - because I'm the good girl, the square, studious good girl.

I hate those snap judgements.

But it happens. Studies show that within ten seconds of meeting somebody, you have already decided what you think of them. They then have between approximately thirty seconds and a minute to change your decision. Only in cases where the subject is particularly intent upon overriding your initial opinion do you then change how your feel, or if something particularly significant happens around the person.

(No wonder people only think of me as a square smartass...)

I'm Charisse Michaelson, called Charlie. I'm seventeen years old, and I'm going to be starting at a new school today - Northwest Christian University.

I guess I'm ready to be humiliated...
