The Morgue Retreat House

15. Insomnia

The tense feeling in Reah's chest wouldn't stop, it kept hurting, she couldn't understand why. She wanted so much to lie down in bed, feeling the soft blankets covering her. She shoved the thought away, she would get tired and sleepy thinking about it.

"Malapit naba?" tanong ni JR, Reah was sure it was only one turn away, she vividly remembered the turns of the staircase, but the staircase was getting longer, bakit ba? Sumakit ang kanyang paa, it felt like na lumakad sya nang paulit-ulit na hagdan.

"My legs are getting tense, it feels like I'm floating midair." reklamo ni Jude.
"I vividly remembered this long staircase, and it seemed like I arrived in about three minutes. It feels wrong. Like we're stuck in a endless loop." Reah said.

"Wait? Endless loop? I remembered reading this story online about getting stuck in a loop, but you can only get out if the loop if you wear your clothes backwards." JR stated.

"Reah, it's our only hope. We have to try at least." Jude said to Reah, it looked like she wasn't as comfortable about this idea.

"Ok, but you two," she pointed at them with her finger. "must face backward, I don't want to be exposed to you two. I'll walk a bit away from you guys, just stay there." The two of them nodded and faced backward.

Lumakad sya, a few steps away from them and peeled off her clothing, wearing them backwards.

Bumalik sya, and JR and Jude were already dressed up backwards. It was at that moment when she could see the body structure beneath JR's shirt, his perfectly structured abs.

Her cheeks flushed a bright red color, before she could realized she was staring at him she quickly turned her back, facing the other direction.

JR also blushed, but it wasn't clear, due to the darkness. "Now we just walk, and probably we'll arrive at the chamber." He said.

The air gave off an awkward feeling, Reah and JR stood silent. Jude, feeling the air attempted to disrupt the silence. "Guys, I think we need lighten this retreat, it feels so boring."

"That's a great idea Jude, but don't you think we can be enjoying this retreat knowing that we're cursed, and with no way getting the hell out of this retreat house!"

"Sorry about that Reah, I was just trying to lighten up this whole damn trip." Jude is right, despite all of this we should look to the bright side of things. Reah thought.

The rest of the walk was just silence. "At last, here we are, sa chamber of lost souls." Sabi ni Reah.

"Woah!" JR said with amusement. "Parang itung Hell on Earth, may maraming patay." Jude said.

"Nasaan ang holy water, boys?" Reah asked.

"It's with me." Jude whispered quietly, he didn't want to disturb the dead so he just spoke in a quiet manner.

Binigay nya ang holy water ni Reah, at bumalik sa kanyang spot.

"Stop!" A voice said to them, they felt fear beacause they all knew the voice wasn't one of them. The voice was a cold crisp voice that sounded manly.

"We don't mean any harm to you, we're not here to disturb your souls. We just came here to free all of you from the hands of evil." Reah said in an audibe voice, na malakas.

"Look behind!"

They all turned they're backs to see,

"Detective Han—"
