We drove through the night, trying to get as far away from the cowboy as possible. Once daylight broke, we stopped for gas and contemplated what had happened last night. Cassidy was full of ideas.
"One. Terminator. Machine sent from the future to kill one of us. Two. Terminator-"
"Two terminators?" I interjected.
"This one sent to kill all of us" he replied. I rolled my eyes and leaned back on the car.
"Three. He's Nazgul, Fell Rider. Lord of the Rings, brilliant film".
"Come on, Cass" Jesse said, shaking his head.
"Well what do you think? Who the hell is he, and how does he keep finding us like that?" Cass asked.
"I don't know" Jesse replied. He had begun to walk in circles. I turned around and rested my elbows on the car.
"You heard from your Preacher friend yet?" I asked. He stopped and shook his head. At that moment, Tulip walked past us all and got straight into the car, a mournful look on her face. The three of us made eye contact for a brief second.
"I'm sorry about your town, padre," Cassidy said, breaking the silence. "Do you think that guy back there had something to do with it?".
"How?" I asked.
"That's another thing God's gonna need to explain. But we're never gonna find him with that cowboy harassing us-"
"I almost forgot to tell ya, I was watching TV last night. You will never guess who came on this commercial. Someone who actually might be able to help us here, someone who might know what to do with this bloody cowboy" Cassidy said excitedly. I turned around and looked at him with, confused.
"If you say Gandalf, I'm going to hit you" Jesse replied, making me stifle a laugh.
"DeBlanc! The-the angel, remember? Apparently he's got some big show at a hotel nearby, what was it, the Sky Tower or somethin' like that" Cass said eagerly. He turned to me with a smile, raising his eyebrows.
"That true?" Jesse asked, turning to me.
"Y-yeah. I mean, I don't know anything about angels, but I saw that commercial, yeah. Totally" I lied, keeping my poker face. Jesse studied the both of our faces before nodding his head.
"I guess that's where we're going, then".
We arrived later that day at the Mumbai Sky Tower, a fairly large casino, advertising a new show they had called "The Amazing Ganesh". Crowds of people swarmed into the place, all wearing Ganesh merchandise and gleaming expressions.
We walked in and made our way to the stage area, where a bunch of crewmen were cleaning up what appeared to be bucket loads of blood. Cassidy and Jesse argued about the angel, and Tulip walked away, in need of a drink. She stopped a few feet away and turned back.
"You coming?" She asked. I realized she was talking to me and I shrugged.
"I'm 19" I replied.
"You don't have a fake I.D?" She asked again. I shook my head.
"Hold on now, you have a gun, rented a car, drove halfway across the country, killed a man, and ye don't have a fake I.D?" Cassidy asked in disbelief. Tulip pinched the bridge of her nose and closed her eyes, then waved me over.
"I'll sneak you some, come on" she said. I walked with her to the bar and sat down on a stool, trying to to make eye contact with the bartender. I noticed Cassidy and Jesse walk away, and figured they went to find this "Deblanc".
