Knowing how to punctuate titles isn't so important when writing a story unless you are referencing another work. However, it's still a good skill to have so I'm including it.
All the first words and major words need to be capitalized.
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
"We Wear the Mask"
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
There are two ways to write titles: in "quotes" and in italics.
Titles of larger works such as books and movies are put in italics.
The Goose Girl
The Princess Bride
The Magician's Nephew
Titles of smaller works such as poems, songs, short stories, and newspaper articles are put in quotation marks.
"Old Ironsides"
"Amazing Grace"
"To Build a Fire"
