Just lying there made me the happiest person ever. He cared about everything; his mom, his friends, even his dog. I snapped out of my thoughts when my phone started ringing. I looked at my phone and saw a name that made my heart drop. My mom was calling.
S: hello?
M: SAGE WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?
S: I don't know
M: Don't you start with me you worthless brat
S: I really don't know I'm on my way home now
M: YOURE NOT LEAVING THIS HOUSE UNTILL WE GO HOME WHEN YOU GET HOME AND WHEN YOURE HERE WE WILL HAVE A TALK WHEN YOU GET BACK
S: k bye
I hung up the phone crying. I walked over to Cameron who saw me crying and instantly threw his arms around me and pulled me as tight as he could.
"What's wrong sweetie?" He asked compassionately.
"Nothing. I-i just n-need to go home," I replied.
"Okay," he said still sweetly.
He grabbed my hand and walked to my side of the car then opened the door for me. I got in the car and he ran around to his side to get in the car. We drove for a while in silence other than a few sniffles.
"Do you want to tell me what's wrong now?" Cameron asked breaking the silence.
"It's just my mom, its fine," I replied trying to avoid a big talk about it.
"Okay, you know if you ever need to you can talk to me," he said as he put his hand in my thigh.
"Thanks," I smiled at him.
The rest of the car ride we say in silence again. Cameron kept his hand on my thigh tracing small circles as he tried comforting me. I have to admit the whole time I was with him I felt safe and I loved that. We pulled up at my driveway and Cameron looked at me staring deep in my eyes.
"I will be here tomorrow at 5. I don't know what's wrong but I know you are a strong and beautiful woman and you can make it through anything, so be strong princess." He said making me feel safer than ever.
"Thank you," I said as I leaned in hugging Cameron.
He held me in his arms until I pulled away. I got out of the car and waved goodbye to Cameron. He waved then backed out of the driveway. I walked up to the door took a deep breath then walked inside. The moment my foot went through the door lights flicked on and a hand smacked my check leaving it red and stinging like hell.
