Today's the day that Hanji's family's coming over. Hanji told me all about her family. How her father is very strict about enforcing rules and her mother wanting the best education for her children. Also, how her brother, James, was just teasing her about her failed attempts. I was waiting for Hanji to get dressed so we can meet up with her family at a restaurant.

"Ready, Levi." I lifted my head to see her wearing a fancy dark blue blouse and a long black skirt. Her hair was down and she had a blue butterfly pin in her hair, holding her dark brown bangs in place.

"Wow..." I stood up and walked towards her. I take her hand and pulled her down. "You're stunning..."

"Heh... aren't I?" She smiles and kisses me. "Well, are you ready to meet the crazy family?" She jokes, letting loose a small laugh.

"What are we waiting for?" I say, leading her out of her apartment, "Let's go..."

We finally arrived at the restaurant, it wasn't too fancy, yet wasn't too... common... Hanji's family was sitting at a table, just silent, not trying to speak.

"Mom... Dad... James..." Hanji says in an uptight voice that I never heard before. It's so formal...

"Hanji, is this your boyfriend?" The mother asks, giving me dirty looks.

"Yes, he is. Go ahead and introduce yourself." She tells me.

I remember her words clearly when we were in the car. She told me how I needed to be as formal as I can possibly be. "My name is Levi, Levi Ackerman."

"Levi... you don't seem like her type..." The father speak up. "Well, sit down."

I take my seat. "Tell me more about your relationship with sis." James says, looking carefully at my face.

"Yes, please do." Her mother speaks.

"I teach classes."

"What kind?"

"Math."

"Ah..."

I felt my whole body become warm, the cool air didn't seem to be cooling me down. I know I had to lie about my career, but it didn't feel right. "Well then... can I have the pleasure to learn your names?" I asked.

"My name is Harold, nice to meet you."

"Georgina."

All we did was talk about myself and just knowing them. Everything that they said just fueled my hatred for them. The way they were so formal, the way that they just acted... I feel the pain that Hanji went through when she was young.

Dessert came and we still haven't gotten to the part about Hanji and the baby. "Hanji." I say sternly, hoping she can get the message.

"Hm?" She looks towards me and her eyes widen. "Oh..." She clears her throat. "Mom, Dad... I have some news."

"Tell us then." Harold stares her down.

"Sis?" James starts to question her. I was ready... ready to help Hanji here. No... more than that... I want to show them that Hanji's the girl that they never saw blossom as a kid. I love Hanji... she's my life.

"I'm... pregnant... with Levi's child."

Harold slammed his hands on the table and I felt the anger aura surrounding him. "Hanji, why?"

"And I'm planning to have the baby, I just wanted to tell you about that before it became a big problem."

"Harold, at least she's telling us before we came over and saw a child living with her."

"Levi."

"Yes?" I asked.

"Come with me, please. I want to talk to you. In private." Harold stands up and I follow after him.

We went outside, the cold breeze passed through the empty streets and I shivered. I felt the cold creep up on my neck and going down my back.

"You wanted to talk?" I asked.

He nods his head, "Yes, and it's about my daughter."

"What about her?"

"Pregnant? And I could tell you were lying. I see why you lied, I'm not going to say anything about that, but I know when someone tells a lie. You see where I'm going at?"

I nod my head, "Yes. I grew up with that kinda influence on me. I also know when someone's lying."

"Hmph. Well, I see that she's in good hands. If you were here just to ask for her hand, go ahead."

"Thanks, Harold."

"Just take good care of her, and if I find out you're not-"

"Don't worry about her, I'll do anything to keep her safe, and our baby. Promise."

"Good."

Once we went back inside, they were ready to leave. They were putting on their coats and a waitress was cleaning up the table.

"Hanji, wanna go now?" I asked as I wrapped an arm around her waist.

She nods, "Yeah, let's go home..."

"Hanji?" I asked her as we started to walk down the empty street. We held hands as we wanted to take an evening stroll, nothing wrong with that.

"Yeah?" She says.

"I'm always going to be with you, you do know that, right?"

"I know that pretty well."

"Good, because soon... we'll be closer together."

"Oh Levi..." We pass a store that still had its lights on. Hanji stopped and looked inside. "Levi... when will you ask?"

"What?" I asked as I looked where she was looking at. The store was a ring shop. "Oh... do you want me to now?"

She shakes her head, "If it makes you uncomfortable, don't ask me if you're not ready. I'm fine with everything... I don't even care if we're not married when the baby comes."

"I rather us be married first... It feels... right."

"Alright then, surprise me then." She smiles and we walked away from the store.

She's right though... it does make me feel very uncomfortable just thinking about it... but if it makes her happy, I'm willingly to give into marriage than my own feelings. I did promise that I'll take care of her... and the baby. Jeez... how did this happen? One day, we were just boyfriend and girlfriend and the next... we're closer than ever. A little baby... maybe Hanji will get her wish... a little me running around an average house while we're just being happy with our life... what if she asks for more kids? I shrug it off, there's no way she's ever going to ask for more. There's no way... we're going to be together, forever, Hanji. And we have a child to prove our love...
