Is This Good or Bad?

Alternating between my apartment and Hanji's, this night, we were at my apartment. I was laying in my bed, which I've been sleeping in for 3 weeks already because of Hanji. I touched the empty space, where Hanji would be sleeping; her warmth was already gone.

I sat up in my bed, rubbing my head. The sunlight from the window blinded me and that it just gave me a headache. "Hanji?" I managed to say as I tried to get out of bed. The cold attacked me, sending chills all over my chest, back, and arms.

"Yeah?" She responds as I tried to find a shirt for me to wear.

"Where are you?" I ask as I leave the bedroom.

"In the kitchen." I turned my head towards the kitchen and walked there.

Hanji had her hair down, which wasn't too surprising. Her glasses were off to the side and she was wearing a big, loose white shirt. "What are you doing?" Then, the smell hit me. I smelled coffee and the smell of bacon burning.

"Breakfast, Levi. Breakfast. Now, go sit down and drink your tea." I listened to her and she gave me my teacup filled with tea.

"Thanks... I guess?"

I take a sip as I hear plates clattering. "Levi, I hardly ever see you eat anything for breakfast so, would it harm you to eat some bacon and eggs for breakfast?"

"Perhaps."

Hanji turns around with two plates in each of her hands. She hands one to me and a fork. "Just eat."

"Ugh, alright." I take a bite and I wasn't expecting the taste to be so... delicious.

"Well?" She smiles at me, awaiting for an answer.

"I... didn't expect it."

"Levi!" She stares me down with this stare that made me gulp. I never seen her this mad, but I know not to ever make her this angry. "You thought it was going to be bad?!"

"Hey, I didn't directly say it. I said, I was expecting... a different taste. You know, extra salt or something."

"You're already salty."

"Hey!" She starts to giggle out loud and seeing that... I wanted to smile and be with her forever.

"What's the matter, Levi? Upset about the truth?"

"Tch-"

"Don't give me that. I made you breakfast, now eat it or I can leave you."

"Hey, that's blackmail!"

"Is it? You insulted my cooking-"

"All I said that it was unexpected and that it exceeded my expectations on your cooking skills." I stand up and walked around the table towards Hanji.

"Still-"

"Hanji." I say before grabbing her by her collar and pulled her towards me. I kissed her and she stands up; I felt her arms wrap around my waist and over to my back. "Are you done with your little tantrum?"

She nods, "Yeah... I guess... *sigh* and this is the reason why I love you."

"You're the one that's judging me, saying how I terribly criticized your cooking."

"Do you really want to start this again?"

"No."

"Then stop right there."

"Alright, I will."

According to Hanji, I should take naps, so I take one in the living room on my favorite chair. I only close my eyes for a few seconds before I felt a heavy weight on my chest.

I peeked and saw Hanji trying to sleep on top of me. Her face was being buried into my chest and her hands tightened on my shirt. "Hey there... four-eyes."

"Levi..." She doesn't look up, but her tone wasn't as usual.

"Something wrong?" I asked, I laid my arm on top of her, rubbing her back.

"I... don't know... and I needed to talk to you..."

"I'm here for you, just tell tell me."

"You promise not to be angry?"

"Why would I?"

She takes a deep breath, I felt the pressure on my chest as it crushed me. "Levi... I don't know how... but..." She lifts her head and I see her eyes were red, like she's been crying.

"Hanji... what's wrong? Why are you crying?"

"I... don't know if it's good or bad... please..."

"Just tell me what it is, I'm here for you. Whether it's good or bad, I'm here." I wrapped my other arm around her and I pulled her closer to me. "I'm here..."

"Levi..."

"I don't want you to face it alone and I won't allow you to leave me. I'm here and we'll face it together. I don't care what it is, I don't want to see you suffer like this. Please, tell me what's wrong and I can help you. Do you understand?"

She nods and she starts to wipe her tears away. "Levi..." Her tone was mixed, it was full of anger, sadness, guilt, and happiness, all wrapped in one emotion. "I'm..." I wanted her to tell me, but that one word changed my perspective on the problem. "Pregnant."
