I jumped as thunder crashed the noise ripping me from the book I had been absorbed in lighting followed seconds after. I got up to look out the window at the stormy night. When had it gotten dark? When did it start storming? What time was it? I checked the clock on my found and found that I had 5 missed calls from my father and 9 texts from my friends. Is it really 1 am already? It was just 11 am what seemed like a couple minutes ago. With a shock I realized that it had been 16 hours since I had last eaten. Even though I wasn't actually hungry I headed to the kitchen to get something to eat.
There was a knock at the door and I went to answer it. Who would be there at that hour? I opened the door to find a man that I have never met before. He had dark hair and brood shoulders. I opened my mouth to speak and before I got a word out he covered my mouth and put a knife to my throat.
"Come quietly and I will not hurt you," he said in a scruffy voice.
He pulled me the rest of the way out of my house and went around behind me so he could have a better hold on me. He pushed me forward and forced me to walk down the driveway to the van that was parked there. It was white with blacked out windows, your standard kidnapper van. I tried to elbow him in the stomach or at least step on his foot but he just dug the knife deeper into my throat until I stopped fighting.
He directed me to get into the back of the van. Then he climbed in with me. The dark haired man, who I had decided to call Bob in my head since I didn't know his name, forced me to the ground and thinking he was going to rape me I struggled harder. Instead of raping me as I thought he was going to do, he zip-tied my hands behind my back and my legs together. He stuffed a wad of cloth in my mouth to keep me from screaming and tied another cloth around my head to keep me from spitting it out.
After he was done he left me laying there on the floor of the van and left I suppose he was closing my door and making it look like I had left of my own free will, that is what I would have done. After about 10 minutes I heard one of the front doors of the van open and close. Not long after that I felt the van rumble as Bob started it up. That is when that reality of what had just happened hit me, I had been kidnapped.
