Okay...before we start, I want to sincerely apologize for not updating sooner. I was really busy after the summer began because I had some family issues to deal with and plus, I go to summer SAT classes now and they give TONS of work (UGH).

I'm really sorry about it

Enjoy reading!!!!!

~Joey's POV~

Shane just went to the bathroom and I got bored. So I started wandering around a little bit. I first went through the hall. There were three doors. One of them, of course led to the bathroom. The other one led to Shane's bedroom and the other door was an empty spare room. I walked back into the living room and walked into the kitchen. Should I make something for Shane to celebrate? I opened the refrigerator to see if there was anything I could maybe cook up for him. There actually wasn't much. There was just a carton of milk, some chinese take out leftovers, a jar of half-eaten salsa, and maybe even some expired food. Well...there goes that idea. Something smelled in there, so I closed it before I could upchuck my last meal.

I washed my hands at the kitchen sink for the heck of it, but something caught my eye. On the kitchen counter, next to the sink, was a piece of paper with a giant, bold "NOTICE" on top of it. I knew it wasn't a good thing to snoop around anyone's personal things, but my curiosity got the best of me. I mean, it's like impossible to not pick up something with "NOTICE" on top of it.

I looked down at the piece of paper. The line that stuck out most to me was, "If the rent is not paid by the 24th of November, you will be evicted from your apartment." Today is the 3rd, but as far as I know, this is his first job. He probably won't be able to pay $1500 in time because lets face it, a job at a yogurt place isn't the best job in the world.

I sat down on the couch and read the paper over and over. Shane isn't going to be able to pay all of it off in time. How was be able to pay the bills before he got the job? I guess that's a question to ask for next time.

I heard a toilet flush and Shane walking over here. Suddenly he looked at me, then the kitchen counter, then back to me again with panic on his face.

I knew he was going to say something and I thought it would be a good idea so I just said, "You can move into the extra bedroom in my apartment."

He looked at me speechless.

~Shane's POV~

I didn't know what to say. I blurted the first thing that came to mind, "What about your girlfriend?"

Joey just looked at me.

I added, "Isn't she going to say something if she sees me there when she visits you?"

"Uh...um. Cat kind of cheated on me, so I broke up with her..." Joey hesitantly answered.

"Oh..." Is all I could say in that situation.

Joey was staring off into space at that point. He does look really lonely and sad. I looked at him in pity. Should I move in with him? I mean it would help me a lot because I wouldn't have to worry about thinking of ways to get money to pay off my expenses. But...if I move in with him, wouldn't it get really awkward between me and him? I already have feelings for him, but won't moving in with him make these feelings worse?

I was thinking about it when Joey just grabbed my arm out of nowhere and dragged me to my bedroom. He opened my closet and pulled out a dusty, black suitcase that was in the back and started placing my clothes in there.

I was pulled out of my trance and ran over and stopped him.

"Whoa, whoa. Joey, what are you doing?"

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm packing your stuff so you could move in." He continued folding my t-shirts into the bag.

I grabbed his hands. "Joey, we didn't even agree to this. I haven't even thought about it yet."

"What is there to think about? You need another place to go because you won't have the money in time. Plus, Cat isn't going to be visiting anyways. What else do you need to think about?" Joey asked me.

Seeing that I had nothing else to say, Joey proceeded packing up my stuff. I couldn't do anything about the situation, so I just sat here powerless, so I let him do what he was doing.

I kept silently watching as he stuffed my socks and other things such as my toothbrush and phone charger into my suitcase and somehow zipped it up. During that time, he also threw out all of the food in my fridge (which wasn't much anyway) and I was completely defeated, so I began to clean along with him. After a lot of work and sweat, my house was pretty much tidy.

"So..."

"You don't need to bring any furniture because I have everything at my house," Joey said, cutting me off.

"Oh, okay." I didn't have anything to say. Everything was happening so quickly that I have to just go along with what was going on. I had no time for asking questions.

"Im hungry. Aren't you hungry?" Joey asked out of nowhere.

"Grrrrrrrr," my stomach growled. I just awkwardly laughed it off while Joey was dying of laughter. I couldn't help but laugh along, so I started laughing and did my signature snort along with him. We didn't even remember what we were laughing about at this point.

"I'm still starving," I said after we calmed down from having a good laugh for about 10 minutes.

"Alright. Well, the only place open right now are fast food restaurants, so I guess it will do. How does McDonalds sound?" Joey suggested.

"Sounds good," I replied. To be honest, anything edible sounded good to me. I was starving at that point since it was already 2:00 in the morning.
