I held the bottle of warm milk to the baby’s tiny lips, while I rocked her gently in mylap. Her miniature body squirmed inside the blankets as she sucked on the soft end, her barely visible, velvety eyebrows scrunched up in a funny frown. All the babies were asleep and I could finally enjoy some silence. I was alone in the large nursery, sitting with baby Lily in the large wooden rocking chair by the window.

All the nurses were somewhere in the other sections, taking care of the older children or running errands.

It had taken me three weeks to get here. By ‘here,’ I mean to the point where people had started to trust me enough to leave me alone with the youngest Silver Moon offspring.

Also, I was finally starting to get the hang of taking care of the little creatures with all of their feeding, changing and soothing demands. I still wasn’t a fan, but at least I didn’t shake violently every time I needed to pick up a baby for fear of dropping or crushing it to

death. I’d tried my hardest to be impossibly nice to everyone here to counteract my shortcomings in the first few days.

Those past three weeks had proven invaluable for two more things. First, I’d had the chance to pick out the healthiest, sturdiest baby to take with me back to my pack. And second, I had gained enough knowledge to be able to care for the child on the long trip

back to my pack and to be its primary caregiver there.

Time was running out and I had to act soon. I had chosen tonight as the perfect moment for my escape and had even arranged for the boatman to meet me at the small port an hour past midnight. I knew that tonight there was going to be a big celebration down at the

kitchen house for all the warriors who’d managed to fend off a particularly dangerous attack in the last two days. I could count on everyone in Pulau Singa Besar losing track of their liquor tonight and getting carried away in the festivities, so I could sneak out unnoticed.

Of course, I had to participate in the party too, but I was going to stay away from alcohol and keep a clear head.

There was just one problem though.

Forth…

I was still struggling to identify the feverish symptoms I felt in his presence. The more

time I spent around him, the more I found myself craving these scattered moments when we drank our coffee on the cabin’s porch in the morning or I heard his footsteps up the squeaking wooden stairs in the evening. I couldn’t even count the number of times I jerked off as soon as he was out the door because I was too turned on to do anything else. What was it about him that made me erupt in endless hot jets of cum after I stroked my ferocious erection only a few times?

Of course, at first I tried to convince myself it wasn’t him. It was the fresh air, the new environment, the fact that I hadn’t had sex in months. But every time I settled to masturbate to ease the almost constant tension, all my usual fantasies I forced into my

head seemed lackluster and failed to get me off. On the other hand, even a whiff of the sweaty t-shirt he’d tossed on the bench the previous night got me all hot and wanting.

I’d never felt like that and the intensity of my feelings was scaring me. I hoped once I got out of Pulau Singa Besar, I could forget all about it. Tonight, I reminded myself. I also couldn’t be too careful around Forth. On my first day in the nursery, I’d overheard him talking to the head nurse, Fah, about me and it was clear that he didn’t trust me. I’d

done my best to calm his suspicions ever since. I’d cooked him dinners, washed his clothes, even brought in some fresh flowers to beautify his home, all under the pretext that I wanted to thank him for letting me crash with him. I’d noticed that over time, he’d finally stopped following my every movement out of the corner of his eye.
