You groaned as you walked. The sun was really burning you, and you really just wanted a break, but Arthur had insisted to keep on walking until he found something important to him.

Now where were you? In some abandoned city you've never heard about in your life. It kinda creeped you out since there was literally no one out here besides you and Arthur.

Not paying attention to where you were walking, you bumped into a stop sign and groaned, holding your head in pain.

"If you keep dozing off then there will be more of that. If you're lucky you might even fall in a ditch."

You looked at Arthur and glared at him. He wore a smirk on his lips as he looked at you.

"Can we just hurry up before I die of thirst?" You asked and quickly marched ahead of him.

Arthur chuckled, "Now slow down Y/n. You don't even know where you're headed." He said as he caught up to you easily.

You sighed and walked beside him.  "Arthur, just how important is this thing? It's probably just old and broken just like these buildings around us."

"Once we find it I'm sure you'd be happy to see it. You were the one..." Arthur muttered the last part, making you a bit curious, but you let it slide. Knowing Arthur, it was probably about finding something mythical.

After what felt like hours, (it had only been fifteen minutes) you looked upon a tall building that stood in front of you. You noticed that it was the tallest building out of all the others, but it was still old and boring like the others. You sighed and looked over at Arthur, who was studying the building for whoever knows why. It was old, why was it even important?

"Y/n, be ready." Arthur said as he took his gun out of his holster. You nodded and did the same, making sure to hold your gun carefully. If Arthur wanted to have our weapons out then it must be important.

As Arthur walked inside the building cautiously, you closely followed behind him. You looked at the back of his head and a wave of deja vu hit you. Why did just looking at the back of Arthur's head feel so familiar?

"A-" "Y/n, get down!" Arthur whispered harshly as he grabbed your arm and pulled you down behind a desk somewhere with him. Your head felt like it was swirling. Arthur's actions seemed familiar as well. Weird...

In a distance noise can be heard. "H-Hello! H-How are youaah. Have a g-good daayyy." The exaggerated words seemed to be from a robot. A broken robot. That means danger.

Arthur then slowly got up to peek at the broken robot heading their way. You went to the side and your eyes widened at what you saw. The robot had blond hair with an odd curl in the middle with purple eyes. It's jaw was ripped off its face as it was also missing an arm. It limped your way and you quickly hid behind the desk.

Just looking at that broken thing scared you greatly. Arthur sighed and got up, putting his gun back in his holster. You looked at him as if he was crazy. "Arthur, you know you're going to get yourself killed if you go up to that thing unarmed!" You said to him in a harsh whisper. Of course you wouldn't want the broken machine to find you.

"He's not a 'thing' Y/n. Matthew's a friend of mine... It's been so long, I hope he hasn't been corrupted like the others." Arthur said and stood up. You wanted to yell at him for saying something so odd and for possibly getting himself and you killed.
