The end

Waiting so long
For a click
For a snap
For it all to fall into place
Now it has

Yet I search for chaos
I seek its presence
Like a child to its mother
Like a hopeless addict

The disfunction pushes me
It brings about my mischievous side
Nudging me to the brink
Cradling me in a blanket of thorns
The pain and blood
All signs of life
Ways of knowing my heart still beats

Without the hurt and tears
How will it be judged?
By love and laughter, kisses and hugs

A foreign concept to my mind
Taking many years to handle
The longest races
We'll ever take on
Are worth so much more
In the end
