Voice trickles off
Into the distance
Two second you were alone
Eggs cracked and cheese sliced
Open door, open door
Frantically searching
I call your name, knowing you won't answer
I do it anyways to get your attention
The voice has disappeared
Faded beyond my hearing
Where are you?
How have you escaped?
Realization strikes
My feet begin to move
So close to losing you
So close to death
Your tears mean nothing
When you almost stop my heart
You won't understand for sometime
How I feared for your life
One day you'll see
I gave you my everything
