Everyone had left the ball room and the cruise ship had finally docked. Only Jake, Amy, Rosa and Charles were left to put away the chairs and clean up. Rosa had just put the lasting parts of the three tear cake into its box and caught a glimpse of the ocean out one of the windows. She slowly walks over, watching the waves overlap each other, the sun moves behind a cloud and she finds herself staring at her own reflection. Jake puts down his side of the table that him and Amy was carrying and whispers "one second Ames" Jake turns and makes his way over to Rosa, at the window.
"Yes?" Rosa turns around as she sees Jakes reflection coming up behind her.
"You look down..everything alright?" Jake said, clearing his throat.
"I'm fine." She sighs turning to look back out the window.
"Oh..okay then?" Jake turns to walk away, confusion expressed on his face.
"Jake, wait." Rosa turned around quickly, possibly two quickly as she wobbled on her heal.
"Yeah Rosa?" Jake replied.
"What would you say to someone who wants to tell people her sexuality, but is too scared of what people will think?" She asks wearily.
Jake had a warning smile on his face. "I would tell them to gather the closest people that they would want to know, and explain it as simple as possible."
Rosa's expression relaxed "Thanks Jake, I'm just asking for a friend..."
Jake picked up that what she just said was a lie. Although it didn't effect him. "If people don't accept what this 'friend' of yours is saying, then they are not true friends and that person deserves much better" he followed up.
"Jake.. is there a possibility that we could get our squad from the precinct back into the ballroom?" Rosa asked.
Jake smiled "of course, I'll get them now" he said before head out to everyone's rooms.
-30 minuets later-
Captain Holt, Gina, Charles, Terry, Hitchcock and Skully along with Amy who was already there; came into the ball room. Jake went over to Rosa who was still stood by the window.
"You alright?" He nudged her
Rosa sighed "I'll be fine, I'm just going to tell them straight."
"I thought this was for a friend?" Jake smiled with disbelief.
"It's actually for me..I was just looking for advice first.." rosa replied with a shaky voice.
"I know Rosa, it's alright. Just stay calm. You can do this" Jake smiled.
Rosa walked over to a small ledge, allowing her to be higher than everyone and so that they could see her clearly.
"Okay everyone. I have something to say that's very important to me." She said bluntly.
Everyone went silent, showing that they were listening.
"I'm.." She paused "I'm bisexual."
Smiles lit up on everyone's face, including Captain Holt.
"I'm very proud of you Diaz." Holt said, making his way up to her and wrapping his arm around her shoulders.
"Thanks captain." She smiled. "Right, you now have.." Rosa looks down at her watch "one minute to ask my anything"
Amy raised her hand. "How long have you known?"
"Since grade 7." Rosa replied.
"How did you know you were Bi?" Charles said whilst raising his hand.
"A guy looked hot. Then I realised, so does a girl." She replied bluntly.
Hitchcock raised his hand...
Rosa checks her watch, "yeah. That's all the time you had. No more questions."
Jake walked over to Rosa as Captain Holt made his way back down to the others. "This is Rosa Diaz and she is still the same person no matter what her sexuality is. She's scary and will always be scary in our eyes." Jake addressed everyone.
"Here here!" People shouted as they raised their beer bottles in the air.
Rosa turned to Jake as everyone began to talk to each other.
"Thanks so much, Jake." She smiled
"Honestly no problem. I'm glad you can feel comfortable with us knowing" Jake replied, pulling her in for a hug.
Rosa smiled over his shoulder.
"Ahh! Hey Amy! Rosa is smiling again!" Gina shouted.
Rosa instantly grew back her straight face. "It was a twitch." She replied.
"Sure it was.." Jake whispered into her ear with a smirk.
Gina winked and danced her way back into the crowd...
