Chapter 31

Dick pov
I got to the nursery and Damien was still applying pressure to Maria's back.

"Daddy." Jamie and Justice ran over to me. I crouched down. And hugged with them.

"Go with Grandad and Uncle Tim." I told them.

I gave Bruce Wally and my children went with them.

"Maria." I muttered as I crawled over to her.
"Hey." She smiled weakly.

"Hey, don't worry we're going to take care of you." I said as I moved the hood off her head. He face was ghostly pale from the lost of blood.

"We can't get her to the plane, we need to get her to the lazareth pit." I said.

"I know the way." Damien said.

"We need to hurry." Jason said.

"Cover us, Damien you lead." I said as I picked Maria up. Her head laid back as if she were already dead.

"We need to go now." I exclaimed.

Damien showed us the lazareth pit. I lowered Maria into the pit. She submerged for what seemed like an eternity. Maria jumped from the pit and attacked me. Damien ran over and injected something into her neck.

"That'll keep her quiet till we get to Gotham." Damien said.

"She's alive." I said as I cradled her.

"Come on we need to go." Jason said. I picked Maria up and we left.

We got to the jet and Bruce and Tim had my children in seats.

"Mommy." Jamie exclaimed.

I laid Maria down on the seats. Jamie and Justice came over to us.

"Is mommy alright?" Jamie asked.

"She's going to be fine." I said as I hugged my children.

I sat on the floor, Jamie, Justice and Wally all in my lap.

"Mommy." Justice pointed at Maria.

"Ya Mommy's sleeping." I said.

I put my children down and checked on Maria. She was freezing. I got an emergency blanket and wrapped it around her. Bruce, Tim, Jason and Damien came back to where I was with my family.

"How is she?" Bruce asked.

Jason picked Jamie up upside down and tickled her. He put her down and did the same with Justice, yet he didn't laugh, he screamed. I took Justice from Jason. I noticed new scabs on his stomach and arms. I sat down next to Maria.

"Justice did the bad people hurt you?" I asked.

He looked like he was going to cry. He nodded. I hugged my son and held him tight.

"They're going to pay." I said.

"Don't let your emotions take control again, Maria nearly died letting that happen." Bruce said.

"I know," I said. My family left and Justice started crying.

"It's alright buddy. Daddy's got you." I said then kissed his head. Jamie came over to me, and I sat Wally also in my lap.

"The...the bad man...." Justice sobbed.

"He's not gonna get you neither is the bad lady." I said as I rubbed circles on his back.

I used to do this to Jamie when she'd have bad dreams. Jamie climbed into the seat next to me.

Damien came back in and sat on the floor in front of me. Jamie climbed over to him.

"I'm sorry what my mother and grandfather did to your children." Damien said.

"You don't need to be apologizing for their actions." I Said.

Maria pov
I woke up in my room breathing heavily.

"Hey, hey you're alright." Dick Said. Our children were asleep at the foot of the bed.

"But Talia, she-"

"she nearly killed you. We put you in the lazareth pit to bring you back." Dick Said. I looked at my sleeping children.

"We're all together again. I honestly thought they would watch me die." I said.

"If I had been with you instead of Damien I wouldn't have let them." Dick Said. He kissed my head.

"Now get some rest."

"I will and it wasn't your fault." I went back to sleep knowing my children and I were safe.

I sat in the kitchen with my children. Justice was in my lap, and Dick had Wally on his hip. Jamie was sitting in her chair.

"Is the bad lady going to come back?" Jamie asked.

"If she does, Mommy, Grandad, Damien, Uncle Jason, Uncle Tim, and I will protect you with every fiber of us." Dick promised.
