Mad Science

School started and I headed to my first class, Mad Science a little sad that I didn't have any friends in this class nor any of my others. I sat down at a random desk since I was early and as people started to fill in and I pulled the hood of my hoodie up and sat there waiting for class to start. Once the bell rang the teacher entered and my eyes widened and I quickly looked down and then back up to avoid laughing. He had a big head and skinny body and was wearing a lab coat and I looked down and continued to draw in my drawing book.

"Ok everyone so today we will be-" He began to say but then he was interrupted by someone walking in late. "Ah Mr. Makenson (A/N I don't know.) late as usual." He said and I looked up to see Lash and I snickered quietly. "Take a seat." He said and conveniently, not the sarcasm, the only empty seat was next to me and he smirked as he sat down.

"Hey Fayette." He said quietly and I looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "It means 'little Fairy' in French." He said and I shook my head.

"Well it's better than Angel, names Serenity." I said and he smiled which made me smile. "Also, Makenson?" I asked trying not to laugh and he sighed.

"It's a family name and one that I regret." Lash said and I turned to the front to see what we are supposed to be doing. We got beakers with stuff in them and we started to work, Lash is surprisingly smarter then he lets on and we were working when someone's exploded. I instinctively turned invisible and grabbed onto the nearest thing which just so happened to be Lash's arm making him turn invisible too. He also stretched over us but only I saw since when i'm invisible I can see everything/everyone else that is invisible. Once we all settled down we got out from under the table and I forgot that I was still holding onto his arm.

"Is everyone ok?" Mr. Medula asked as he looked around. "Where are Mr. Makenson and Ms. Hicks?" He asked and I let go of his arm and turned visible again as he went back to normal and I missed the warmth from his arm but I shrugged it off. "Ah there you are, smart thinking Ms. Hicks. I better go check on the Sidekick class below us." He said and I stood up.

"I'll go to, I need to make sure my brother and friends are ok." I said and he nodded as I glared at the boys who caused the explosion. We walked down to the classroom and I could tell that Zach's powers also kicked in as there was a yellow light emitting the room. We entered through the light and I went over to Zack as the actual lights came on.

"Greetings, little miss fire in the Mad Science lab, no need to worry. Unless you're a single cell organism." Mr. Medula said.

"Are you ok?" I asked Zach.

"Yep all good here, what about you?" He asked and I nodded.

"All clear." I said and he laughed sarcastically getting the joke.

"Mr. Medula, we in Hero support are trained never to panic." A teacher in a taky superhero outfit said as he hung from the ceiling and fell into a trash can.

"My bad i'll get the nurse, unless she's injured, Ms. Hicks head back to the classroom if you will." He said and I nodded and waved to my friends as I left and headed back to the Mad Science Lab. After school we were all at Will's house doing homework, well they are doing homework but since I didn't have any I was drawing and helping out.

"A radioactive zombie is charging at your hero, do you hand him A: A silver tipped crossbow, B: A wooden spike or C-" Will was saying but Zach cut him off.

"Yo man that's so weak, i'm already holding this crossbow why can't I just shoot him myself." Zach said and I sighed.

"Because we're hero support, minus Serenity, and if our hero asks for a crossbow we hand it to him." Ethan said.

"Or her." Layla said and I nodded.

"By the way Zach you can't kill a zombie you can only re-kill one." I said not even looking up from my drawing.

"So if you kids are all in here, who's out there saving the world." Will's dad said as he entered.

"Dad, why are you home so early?" Will asked.

"Well after I stopped the superdome from collapsing I was watching the game and got to thinking. It's been awhile since Will and I tossed the old pigskin around so I thought i'd hussel home but I see you and Layla have made some new friends." He said and Ethan stood up.

"It's an honor to meet you sir." He said.

"What's your name, what's your power?" He asked as we all stood up.

"I'm Ethan and I melt."

"Ok."

"Zach, I glow." Zach said.

"I see." He said as they were shaking his hand.

"Magenta, I shapeshift." She said.

"Shapeshift?" He asked seemingly excited.

"Into a guinea pig." She said and he smiled but seemed to be let down.

"Great."

"Serenity, I can fly and turn invisible." I said showing him my wings.

"Nice." He said happily. "Well I make a mean tuna fish salad sandwich, anyone want one?" He asked and we all politely declined. "Pleasure meeting everyone." He said and walked into the kitchen and me and Layla nudged Will to go tell him. After a minute we heard his dad shouting and a crashing sound and then after that Will walked in.

"Uh so I think we pretty much covered the undead, what's next?" Will asked sitting down. We studied for a little bit longer and then went back to our separate houses.
