Homecoming Part 2

“People if you have already been de-pacified please find you’re clothes, grab a baby and report to the science lab.” Principle P said directing people as we stood there. Will started to talk to his parents as I chatted with Layla and she told me that Will kissed her and we fangirled for a moment before regaining our dignity.

“It belongs to them.” Mrs. Stronghold said getting our attention. “The Sidekicks, I mean Hero Support.” She said as they walked over.

“Why don’t we just call them what they really are Josey. Heroes.” Mr. Stronghold said and we each placed a hand on the trophy, well Magenta placed a finger on the top and I turned to Lash who was standing there awkwardly.

“You too.” I said and he smiled at me and placed his hand on it too.

“Oh and Jonathan, whatever you’re teaching them. Keep teaching them it.” Mr. Stronghold said to Mr. Boy and Mrs. Stronghold gave him a kiss on the cheek before her and Mr. Stronghold walked away.

“Mr. Makenson.” Principle P said as she walked over to us. “I need you to come with me.” She said and Lash gave me a small smile before walking away with her and I turned to my friends.

“Go.” Zach said and I smiled at him as I ran after them. I found Principal P exiting the detention room.

“Principle Powers?” I asked and she turned to me.

“Yes, Ms. Hicks?” She asked.

“The thing is Lash was forced into helping Gwen, if he didn’t then Gwen said she would harm me and in the end he helped in her downfall.” I said trying to defend him.

“What are you asking?” She asked me.

“I’m asking for you not to punish him too much and to let him redeem himself, he only did it so that I wouldn’t get hurt.” I said with pleading eyes and she sighed.

“I’ll see what I can do.” She said and walked back in the room and I leaned against the wall. A moment later her and Lash walked out and he had his head hung. “Mr. Makenson? Is it true you only helped aid Royal Pain to save Ms. Hicks?” Principle P asked and he looked up and spotted me.

“Yes.” He said looking at Principle P.

“And you helped in stopping her?” She asked and he nodded.

“Yes.” Lash said and she nodded.

“I see, well you still need a punishment since you aided the enemy so you will be cleaning up the school and have detention each week until the end of the year. You will also be held back a year so for now go enjoy Homecoming.” She said and we nodded the entire time then walked off and once we were around the corner we turned to each other as we walked and I couldn’t help the smile that was on my face.

“Ha you’re stuck with me for another year.” I said.

“And is that supposed to be a punishment?” Lash asked smirking and I rolled my eyes.

“C’mon, let’s go dance.” I said as I pulled him with me to the gym. We danced for a bit and then I grabbed him pulling him aside by the tie.

“Now?” He asked.

“Almost.” I said. “Do you trust me?” I asked.

“More than anyone.” Lash said.

“Hold on tight.” I said as I started to fly up and he grabbed on tight and I flew us out the window and up to the top of the school and landed. We stood there, swaying to the beat since we could still hear the music and he slowly leaned in.

“Now?” He asked and I nodded filling the gap between us, connecting our lips. It was a heated and passion filled kiss and he pulled me closer, giving me butterflies. I wound my hands in his hair and he wrapped his arms around my waist and we stayed like that for a couple minutes and then pulled away resting our foreheads against each others. “I love you, Fayette.” Lash said and I smiled.

“I love you too, Stripe boy.” I said smiling, happier than i’ve ever felt before.
