Save The Citizen

The team that was up lost and now it’s Will’s turn in Save the Citizen.

“Speed, Lash you wanna be Heros or Villians?” Boomer asked sarcastically since we all knew the answer.

“Villains.” Speed said as they both smiled.

“Who do you wanna beat next?” Boomer asked.

“Uh alright we’ll take little Stronghold.” Speed said.

“And uh we pick Peace.” Lash said and the two mentioned stepped forward.

“Hothead, Stronghold you’re the Heroes.” Boomer said and I saw Will waving at Gwen and then Warren said something to him but I couldn’t hear what. “You have three minutes to immobilize your opponents and save the citizen. Ready. Set. Battle.” he said and Lash stretched his arms between poles and sling shotted Speed making him go like a pinball and knock down both Will and Warren. Warren tossed a bench that he landed on out of the arena and Lash wrapped his arms around Warren trapping him.

“Ha, what now Peace.” Lash said and Warren lit on fire making Lash recoil in pain making me wince. “Oww hey coach that’s a foul, call something on that.” Lash said but Boomer just laughed. Speed went and knocked Will down again and Layla looked really worried. Warren threw a fireball at Lash but he dodged and it hit Boomer instead but he didn’t get hurt, just knocked back a little and everyone laughed.

“Watch it hothead.” Boomer said and blew out a little flame on his shirt. Will got up and then got knocked down again so when he stood he jumped and hit the ground with his fist making it ripple causing Lash and Speed to fall. Lash landed on a bench breaking it while Speed flipped and landed on his feet. Will picked up Lash and tied him around a pole against his protests.

“What. Wait. What. No. Wait.” He said but Will ignored him and Warren was throwing fire at Speed who was running along the wall and dodging.

“Hey save the citizen.” Warren shouted to Will and Will ran over there but Speed started to circle around Warren making him lose oxygen.

“You are so dead.” Lash said to Will but he noticed what was happening to Warren and made a split second decision. He ran over, grabbed Speed and let him run straight at Lash making them both fall. As people counted down the last five seconds Will picked up Warren and tossed him at the citizen and he caught her, landing just as the timer went off.

“Time, She’s alive.” Boomer said and they won. “Heroes win. Speed, Lash hit the showers.” We tried to get Will’s attention but the populars surrounded him, Gwen especially and he couldn’t hear us. After gym I went to get my backpack and told the others I would meet them on the bus. Once they were gone I shut my locker and Lash was there.

“Hey Stripe boy” I said laughing.

“Hi.” Lash muttered and I laughed.

“Are you upset about losing to Will?” I asked mockingly and he looked at me shaking his head.

“No.” He said grumpily and I laughed more at his pout.

“Serenity?” I heard from down the hallway and I knew it was Zach.

“I got to go, see ya.” I tried to say but Lash grabbed my arm.

“Meet me at the alley by Little Caesars?” He asked and I looked unsure.

“Serenity?” I heard closer this time and Lash looked at me expectantly.

“Fine i’ll meet you there at nine, now go.” I said and he smiled.

“See ya Fayette.” He said and ran off, I turned the corner and Zach was there.

“C’mon S the bus is gonna leave soon.” He said and I nodded following him.
