Me and Mackenzie rode off to our secret place, with the Stringer boys closely behind. We found this old house a few years ago, and ever since its been our hideout. We decorated it with furniture, fuzzy rugs, some pictures, it even has a mini fridge full of sweet tea. We've always enjoyed coming out here alone together. If we ever need to talk privately, or figure out a situation, or make a plan, its always been perfect. It used to look like a dump, now its all decorated cute and girly, and it even has air condition!
By the time me and Mackenzie got there, got inside the house to grab some sweet tea, the boys came walking in.
"Whoa, cool place yaw got here..." Andrew said while tilting his head in every angle, taking in the little house.
"Thanks... Sweet tea?" I asked while offering two mugs of sweet teas.
"Yea, thanks," Andrew shot back with such a pretty smile, my heart melted.
We walked into the "living room" and just kinda made small talk, until I finally got the guts to speak up, "So how old are yaw."
"We're both seventeen, we'll be Juniors, this fall at Birmingham High." Kyle replied while just nodding his head slowly.
"Oh cool, thats where we go," Mackenzie said with a small smile.
"Cool, so how old are yaw?" Kyle asked.
"Well, I'm seventeen, and Grays sixteen she'll be seventeen in... OH MY GOODNESS... your birthdays next Saturday!" she basically squealed.
"Yes Yes my birthdays next week, calm down, it ain't a big deal i've had sixteen other ones." I said while rolling my eyes and pulling my knees to my chest. I just hugged my legs, so they would get closer to my body, resting my chin on my knees.
We chatted for a little while longer when I looked at the purple clock hanging on the wall, it was already four o'clock. I stood up, tugged my shorts down a little, fixed my top which had come up a little almost revealing my purple bra. I put my hat back on and said, "I've got to make the rounds, but yaw can stay here and talk longer, if yaw want."
Kyle and Mackenzie agreed but Andrew offered to help me. Of course, I acceted. So we both hopped on our horses and started just slowly walking back to the main barn. We where in a comfortable silence for the first few minutes. When Andrew spoke up and said, "I like your hat," while pointing up at my hat.
"Why thank you, I like yours too..." we just sat there in silence for a little bit longer, when I finally blurted out, "OK! My name is Grayson Elizabeth Smith, I'm sixteen about to be seventeen, I will be a Junior next year at Birmingham High, I'm a deddy's girl, I rode my first horse by myself when I was three years old, my hair is naturally this curly, I don't drink, smoke, or do anything bad, I make straight A's, I get up every morning at six to help around the farm, I love to play the piano and sing, I even play the piano at church in Sunday morning services, My best friends are Jason and Mackenzie, and this is what I wear every day." we just sat there silently, "I'm sorry I just couldn't stand the silence." When I finished that last sentence we where riding into the barn. And with that Andrew took Bullet's saddle off and tried to do Dixie's, but I don't like help from others, so of course I did mine by myself. Once I had put her saddle across her stable, I turned around to come face to chest to Andrew. I slowly looked up at his beautiful brown eyes, and I slightly smiled when he replied and said, "Well I guess it's time for me to get going, but since you were honest enough to tell me all that, we'll have to make sure we get some special alone time together so I can tell you a little about me, beautiful."
And with that last remark I looked down at my boots, knowing that I was starting to blush. He then said, "Well I need to get on home to help Momma, but Kyle's still with Mackenzie." He ran a hand through his hair after he took his hat off.
"Well, you can go on home and Mackenzie and I can drice him back over, We have nothing else to do." I said finally giving in to look back up at him.
"Well thanks so much, I guess this is goodbye, I'll see you tomorrow morning?" he asked with a cute, hopeful little smile on his face.
"I'm here all day, every day. But I'll get to see you when we drop Kyle off." I said my voice sounding a little too hopeful.
"Oh yeah, yay...Well then I guess I'll see you in a little bit." He said shyly. As he slowly started walking backwards. He got to his truck and hopped is beautiful Ford pick-up that was detailed and had perfect tires. If I wasn't falling for him, I was sure falling for his truck.
