I sit by Augustus's grave, I lay my hand on the cold stone, rain falls. A tear drop finds it's way out of my eye. I try not to cry anymore, the reality is he's not coming back. But I try so hard to think that he's here with me. But he's not.
"I miss you Augustus." I say lightly.
"Hazel!" I hear his voice, I whip my head around to see him. He wears skinny jeans, and a red t-shirt.
"Hazel!" He screams again. he stands in one place, doesn't move. I stand up slowly, walking cautiously toward him. I know I must be dreaming now. He puts his hand on my cheek. Looking me in the eyes.
"Hazel." His mouth says, But it's no longer his voice, it's my mothers. "Come on hazel." My fathers voice sounds. My head spins and I feel dizzy. I fall back in the crisp clean grass laying down. Everything goes black.

My eyes snap open, to see my mother and father and a doctor hovering above me.
"She's awake!" Screams the doctor, and I realize how loud it is in the room. After the doctors hard voice lowers, the room falls silent. My others eyes are red and swollen, and sobs as she speaks to me.
"Oh honey, we thought we lost you, we're were here everyday. Oh sweetie." She said sobbing and hugging me. My dad cries too, hugging me.
"We love you so much hazel." He says.
"If you don't mind, could I have a word with hazel in private?" Says the doctor. His hospital mask hangs right in his face. His skin is light brown. My parents release me and walk out of the room, waving to me. The doctor looks at me.
"Did you get rid of the cancer?" I ask. I don't even remember scheduling a surgery.
"Um, no hazel." He says, I feel disappointed, I'm used to it. His look still concerns me.
"Has it spread?" I ask holding my breath.
"Uh, no hazel, you never had cancer." He said confused.
My head spins, I had- have cancer. It can't just go away.
"What are you talking about? What about my thyroid cancer and lung cancer?" I ask worriedly.
"You never had it." He says.
"What?" I ask.
"Hazel you were in a car accident on the freeway."
