Summer was being pushed out by the autumn. The warm sun just barely cozying Lillian, while she was back in the chilling comforts of her mahogany house complex. She was departed from the hospital early morning, being signed a lease by Isaac over phone, since he was still playing out the silent card on the battlefield. The breeze coming in felt like it wasn't just a near coincidence that so much air was forcing itself inside, the wind couldn't act on it's own. When Lillian checked to see if one of her window's were open, the one nearest to the kitchen happened to be. With a tuff of white hair slumped underneath it, a full body sprawled like mayonnaise on bread, dressing her floor. A person tried to sneak in, preferably through the window, and probably were drunk off their asses, judging by the hollow beer bottle compressed into their unconscious grip. It'd be more scarier, if Lillian didn't already know who it was.
She shut the window and looked back at the body sprawled out on the floor. "Get out or Im calling security." She said, grabbing a bottled water out of her fridge, opening it and taking a sip before putting it back on the counter. "Come on, I don't have time for this." Lillian kicked the body over gently. Realizing it was the snowflake himself. "Kadence? What the fuck? Why are you here?!"
Kadence choked out a feathery breath, trying to withstand the headache he had woken up to. "Ugh.." his groans spoke louder than actual words. He was clearly a drunk mess that had wandered into the wrong territory, perhaps Lillian was on his mind 24 hours after his flight back from Italy. But who knows? "How the...feck did I get back here?" He used her shirt as a way to get back in his feet, his knees jouncing with every muscle. "I feel...weird. What day is it?" Friday, August 16th, 2017. Would've been the best reply. But this day was much more than just another day on the calendar. It was finally the day of the play. Lillian being the lead role. If Kadence was her, he would know. Though, his reaction may have been drastically different from what was imagined. A lot of things were changing in Lillian's life, and even though Kadence was an intergalactic part of it, even he left and transformed into someone unknown.
Lilian frowned at him "August 16th... It's opening night for Heathers, I'm the lead if you cared to know." She looked down at her hands, twiddling her fingers before looking back up at him. "A lot has happened since you left."
Kadence pulled her into a hug, making his chin bury into her shoulder, and his eyes lowering so that he could feel like his heart stop pounding every time he was remotely close to her. "Of course I care Lillian...." He spoke with the beer scent strong in his breath, his tongue flattening and his face turning into puddling eyes drying up. "I've always cared about you..." he wrapped his arms around her and leaned back, smiling devilishly. "What'll ever make you think different?"
Lillian wrapped her arms around him. Taking in his scent which was laced in the scent of beer. He was probably drunk, but it felt good to have him back around. Tears brimmed her eyelids as her grip tightened around him. "I thought you hated me. You just kinda left." She sniffled as her tears were soaked up by his dark colored shirt. "It seems like a lot of people do, except for Kota, Quincy, and Garcia. But Garcia is always up Asher's ass and Kota and Quincy are busy with the baby."
Kadence shook his head, her reply going unsound and not really detected on an emotional level. He gently patted down the parts of her face he could make out with his cloudy vision, touching her nose and barely missing her eye. He huffed into the air, and hugged her for warmth. "Who?? I don't know what you're talking about..." his chest jumped with a hiccup and he released her with a passive giggle, stumbling towards the door. "I'm gonna go..." He slurred, jarring the door open with one arm. Like a vampire he hissed the daylight pouring in, leaning on the heels of his feet and waving his hand for shade, "Bright..." his eyes fell once more, Kadence trying to close the door behind him.
