"Then who cares what he said." Monse said. I really just want to know what he said that was so bad

I didn't realize how hooked I was on to Cesar until I got to camp. The things was my feelings were so strong that I didn't want anyone else. But I'm over him now he can have whoever he want

"Oh, just drop it." Rudy says, tired. I'm surprised Jamal has kept it in for so long. He would have exploded by now

"Does it look like we'll drop it." Monse replied

"Actually, you do. You just won't."Jamal say

"Tax time, bitches!." A voice said from behind us. Damn, Latrelle. He makes me really uncomfortable, I think he got a thing for me. It's in my genes, I was born wanted

We all stopped walking and turned to face Latrelle

"Hands up, Money out." He said. We all followed his command. Being the boy my brother is he had to confront Latrelle on his mistake

"How can we take money out with our hands up?." I snickered a little. Ruby's too smart for this

"I know you bookheads got that back-to-school gwop." Latrelle said pulling up his pants

Latrelle swear he's gangster. Just cuz he know people that carry guns, plugs, alcohol

"It's orientation day, tonto(dummy)." I claimed

"Yeah, so technically we're neither in school nor out of school." Monse said, before ruby put his hand over her mouth

"We don't have any money." Ruby claims

"What about that 20?." Jamal says, telling latrelle that we actually have money

Latrelle put his hands out towards Ruby and Ruby takes out the 20 dollar bill handing it to Latrelle. As he was leaving he turns back towards us

"Leilani, you looking good." Latrelle said then ran up the stairs he came from

"At least you finally got your own room."

"What do you mean I don't have my own room? Its only been four hours." Ruby says as I watch from the couch, also on my phone watching people's snaps

"Abulieta's room is flooded from the broken washer. She's gonna have to sleep in your room until we can dry it out." Mom explains to ruby

I feel bad for him, I have my own room, I would share with but the room was made especially for me. Sorry Not Sorry

"Did you try renting a WetVac?."

"Papi thinks that there might be mold."

"So."

"So she can't sleep in there."

"Ma, she grew up in a adobe hut. She'll be fine."

"Ruby you've never had your own room. Why do you need one know?."

"For stuff. Like..like my brain. I mean, there's scientific evidence that the brain grows everyday, and my brain need room. A room to grow. So you really wanna challenge science."

My mom does not seem to buy this act at all

"Why can't she stay in the living room? Grandma hasn't been back to Mexico in a while. Come on, Ma! I'm a man! I can't share a room with Abulieta."

"What if I give you another option?." Mom suggested

"Yes, please, anything." Ruby pleaded
