Jason moaned contently into the kiss as his tongue battled Carl's, his jaw starting to ache gently from the constant movement. He ignored the ache and instead focused on the sensation and taste of Carl, something he feared he'd never get to experience again since the younger teen lost his memory. The older teen rubbed the back of Carl's head before pulling him a little closer, desperate for every inch of his younger lover as his heart pounded with adrenaline. It wasn't arousal, it was pure adrenaline, relief, excitement and joy that was coursing through him.

Carl eventually broke the kiss, his expression serious. "I know why you lied to me, Jase, but you didn't have to."

Jason smirked a little at the shortening of his name. That was new. "Sure, I did. You woke up confused and you didn't need the shock of having some guy claiming to be your boyfriend."

"I still liked you, I was attracted just like when we met." Carl confessed quickly, gripping Jason's arms gently. "Some of the first memories that came back were of you."

"Why didn't you tell me?" Jason responded with a furrowed brow.

"Because you kept pretending that we weren't that close, so I doubted myself." Carl answered with a pout.

"Sorry, I just feared I wouldn't be lucky enough to have such a cute and gorgeous boy like me again." Jason complimented the younger teen with a nervous smile.

"Don't do that." Carl retorted, gesturing to his missing eye. "I'm not gorgeous. Not with this."

The older teen's smile faded as he stroked Carl's cheek with one hand, his thumb rubbing up against the bandage gently as he stared into his remaining eye.

"This injury doesn't make you any less gorgeous to me." He reassured him. "In fact, it's a reminder of just how important you are to me. I love you, Carl."

"I love you too." Carl answered just before Jason brought their lips together again.

Carl gasped lightly into the kiss as Jason started easing him back, the older teen's hands roaming his body and thighs. His heart drummed in his chest as the older teen started feeling all the parts of him he had wanted to for the last couple days. Carl moaned into the kiss when Jason's hand cupped him through his jeans, rubbing the growing hardness through the fabric slowly.

"Carl! Jason!" Michonne's voice called from the foot of the stairs, causing both teens to break apart with a jump. "Dinner's on the table!"

The soundtrack of the room was a mix of chewing, glasses clanging, cutlery knocking against plates and the coos and calls of Judith as Rick tried to feed her. Sitting around the table were Rick, Michonne, Daryl, Morgan, Carol, Carl and Jason. Carol sat as far away from Morgan as she could while Jason and Carl sat together for the first time in days. Neither teen could remove the smirks on their faces as they ate.

"So, looks like some pretty important memories came back, right, Carl?" Michonne asked, breaking the silence among them with a knowing smile.

Carl's face flushed red for a moment as he quickly nodded and looked down at his plate. "Yeah, they did. Thanks for reminding me about his diary."

Jason's fork clanged on the plate as he turned to Carl. "You read my diary? That's how you remembered?"

Carl couldn't help but giggle lightly as he nodded.

Jason faced forward and narrowed his eyes at Michonne. "You did this!"

"You were taking far too long, so I gave him a hint." The samurai answered with a grin.
