"Blake! Blake dear I've already told you twice now get up! Please come down stairs and have some breakfast before you have to go to school." A voice called from downstairs. "Yeah Yeah I'll be down in a minute mom." Blake answered. Finally stepping out of his bed and walked to his dresser and pulled out some fresh new clothes and put them on. "Man, this is what I get for staying up all night playing video games. Totally worth it in my mind." He said walking over to his mirror to fix his hair.
Blake Core is a young man of 17 years of age. He lives with his mom in the small town Rotorville, where he attends Maxima high as a senior. Blake is your average teenager. He gets good grades, loves to play videos games, hang out with friends, and every once in a while get in over his head and get into trouble. He stands just over 6 feet tall with short dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and white skin.
After Blake finished waking himself up and got dressed he walked downstairs and noticed his mother in the kitchen. "Good morning mom." Blake said sleepily as he walked over to the kitchen table and sat down, beginning to eat his breakfast his mom made for him. "Good morning sweet heart, did you sleep well?" She asked him kindly tilting her head a little to the side. "More or less" Blake answered her "I'm lucky I even woke up this morning after playing Madness Manor all night--- I-I mean from studying all last night for that Pre-Calculus test today." Blake said quickly trying to change the subject. His mother looked at him her bottom lip curling and her hands on her hips. "I thought I told you not to play any videos for that long on a school night Blake." She said shaking a finger at her. "Yeah Yeah, whatever mom" Blake said rolling his eyes a her little nag session. As Blake and his mother continued there small talk there came a knock at the front door. Blake's mother told Blake to go open the door which he did already knowing who was at the door once he opened it. "Morning Rachael, morning Jayden" Blake said to the two people standing outside on the front porch. "Good morning Blake." They both said together.
Rachael and Jayden were Blake two best friends at Maxima High. He met them both when they were grade school and have been friends ever since. Rachael Velvet is a lively girl at the age of 17 who is well on her way on getting a dancing scholarship to Starlight academy. She loved dancing ever since she could walk on her two legs and she more than just good at it. Rachael can be a bit hot headed at times but she does everything to stand up to her friends. Jayden on the other hand is not as lively. Jayden Stance is a tall lengthy boy of 18 years of age and, as Blake says, has the IQ of a pentagon super computer. Jayden has straight 5.0 GPA at Maxima high and has already many colleges practically begging him to go to their colleges. Jayden is rather laid back at times, but when something comes up that has to do with clever thinking a quick wit. Jayden jumps at the moment he is given the chance to attack it with his knowledge. Blake couldn't ask for better friends.
"Morning to you as well Mrs. Core." Jayden said bowing to Blake's mother. "You ready to head to school Blake?" He asked now turning to him. "Yeah I'm ready let's go." Blake said grabbing his book bag. "Bye mom" He said giving her a kiss on the cheek and heading out the door with his friends. "Bye honey, stay safe now!" She called from the kitchen window, and Blake waved to her as all three friends made their way to the school. "So Blake did you study for that Pre-Calculus last night at all?" Jayden asked him cocking an eyebrow. "I wish I did, but I was too busy trying to beat Madness Manor. That game keeps getting the better of me and I really want to beat it." Blake said clenching his fist. "What a game addict, that's always your excuse when you haven't studied for something Blake. I even studied for this test due to how hard it is." Rachael said sighing at Blake's reason for not studying. "Wow you sound just like my mom just like this morning. It doesn't matter anyway, most of the stuff on this unit isn't that bad anyway so I'm not that worried." Blake said putting his hands behind his head as they all got onto the school campus. "Well at least you got confidence." Rachael said smiling at him. "You both should" Jayden added in. "This test isn't hard at all, it going to be a complete breeze." He said as he straightened his glasses. "Yeah it will be for you Jayden. Your brain can process numbers like 723 times a minute. You get the normal quizzes done in about 10 minutes and have them all 100% right as well." Blake said giving him a stink eye. "Yeah well that's what happens when your smart." Jayden said laughing a little as they walked into the school. "Well in any case I think we will all just fin--oof, oops sorry" Jayden was interrupted as accidentally ran into somebody. "Hey watch it dweeb or those glasses of your might shatter here soon!" said the large boy looking down at Jayden on the floor. "Hey leave him alone Ace he said sorry. Why do you always have to be such a jerk." Blake said glaring at Ace
Ace McDouglas, a 19 year old school bully and star quarter back of the high school team, The Maxima Knights. Ace got held back a year due to his bad grades but he says its because "The team needed his skills again for the playoffs." If anything that what the only good thing that Ace did for Maxima high many people thought.
"Oh look 'Fake Bore' is trying to look tough in front of his girl friend." Ace said taunting Blake with Rachael. "Shut up Ace, that's not funny picking on others just for your own personal pleasure. Why can't you just leave us alone huh?" Blake said to him angered a little. "Someones trying to act brave here, oh no Fake Bore is getting bad what am I gonna do." Ace said chortling at Blake's attempt to look bigger than him. "I don't need to act something if I know that I am something Ace." Blake retorted. "Oh yeah prove it. I dare you to go to that old abandoned science lab just out of town on gill road and bring me back a cool looking.....sciencey thing." Ace said to Blake smirking at him. Rachael looked at Ace then at Blake. "Blake you don't have to do thi-" Rachael tried to say. "Deal" Blake said cutting her off. Ace smiled devilishly, "Heh, good. Head there around 8 oclock tonight. You can bring anything you want I could care less, just get it done and bring something back by tomorrow morning to the football locker room. Good Luck Fake Bore hahaha" Ace laughed as he pushed past him walking to his first class.
Blake huffed as Ace walked away and he bent down to help up Jayden. "You alright pal?" He asked him. "Yeah I'm ok Blake. Your not actually gonna go through with that are you?" Jayden asked him. "Of course I am, to be honest I've wanted to see what was in that old lab for a while now. Besides I'm not one to turn down a dare to something." Blake said, a fire in his eyes. Rachael and Jayden looked at each other and sighed. "Its hopeless to change your mind when your like this. Fine, go do your dare, just try not to get hurt alright." Rachael said putting a hand on Blake's shoulder. "Hey don't worry Rachael I'll be fine. Now come on, I dont want to be late for class." Blake told them and they all head off to class. As they walked Blake though about tonight's event. "Its a new day, and a I have a new dare. Oh this is going to be fun." Blake said smiling to himself as they went into there first class and started the day.
