shyness
i was curious
you were bold,
daunting.
sunlight graced your face,
kissed by angels.
alone,
we were something.
dazzled and dashed into nothing.
come home,
sweet one.

glistening in the dark
weeping for something,
someone.
and they always listened
when no one else would.
comfort,
in the stars.

too cool.
why do you care,
when you could be friends with anyone.
why choose me?

sometimes,
when i'm with you,
i finally realize
life is
beautiful

i believe.
i believe in me
i believe i can
i believe i can try
i believe i can do
and mostly
i believe in the person i want to become.

everyone wants it
craves it.
when they experience it,
they're scared.
freedom.
simple word
terrifying concept.
but being free is better to be in chains.
