The kiss was passionate but also tender and careful, so packed full of emotion that I couldn't think about anything else. Mr. Mendes' hands moved towards my face, they cupped my cheeks so delicately whilst our lips moved in synchronised motion. Suddenly he pulled away; my heart dropped.

"I-I, I'm so sorry, what am I thinking," he ran both hands through his hair and scrunched them up, along with the tufts of hair caught between his fingers "You're my student for Christ's sake!"

I just looked at him with a coy smile, the memory of the kiss replaying in my mind.

"How stupid am I?" He sighed, looking at his feet and then at my face.

"You're not."

"What?" His eyebrows perked up for a moment.

"It's what we wanted, it's what I wanted."

There was a pause while he tried to process what I'd just said.

"Oh thank God, you scared me half to death when you said nothing!" He said, laughing lightly.

As we drove home the atmosphere was comfortable, not really any awkward vibes or tension, just happiness and enjoying one another's company.

The road was dim, only lit by a few street lamps which burned an orangey yellow colour. I abruptly thought to myself,

Music

"Sir, What music do you have?" I asked, eager to play some amazing songs which would bring the mood to a whole new level, especially after the kiss that we had exchanged earlier.

"Firstly, don't call me 'Sir'," He said teasingly, "You can call me Shawn when it's just me and you, I do have a first name you know."

I nodded my head, "Noted."

"Secondly, your selection tonight is Ed or John."

"Don't get me wrong, I love them both dearly and would never change them for the world, buuuut we could change it up a little?" I proposed, shrugging my shoulders as I did so.

"What's on your mind Miss Hill?" He playfully asked.

"Two words, Fleetwood Mac." I gestured my arms as though he would be reading it off a big board with the band's name in lights.

He turned to look at me, "Oh, so you really do like your music then?"

"Mhm," I hummed, "Do you have the aux chord?"

When he passed it over, the cord got slightly tangled, meaning that our hands touched while I tried to obtain the wire.

I decided to play Rhiannon.

The song began to play, the smooth guitar and Stevie Nicks' voice sent goosebumps down my arm. How anyone can sing like that I will never know.

Shawn began tapping on the steering wheel to the beat of the song and I smiled, it seemed like he was really enjoying it too.

Before long we were outside our houses. The excited atmosphere that we had previously experienced had now fizzled down again.
