Amber Eyes

I opened my eyes to see a bright big red moon.

I looked around to see trees surrounding me I got up and walked but it seemed that everywhere I went trees were there. I was starting to panic so I ran. It appeared that the trees were infinite or perhaps I was running in circles.

My breath was getting heavy and I was getting tired. I went to the nearest tree and sat caught my breath. I heard the rustling of leaves and quickly got up and look around paranoid.

Then I saw it, no. Him. I saw him. With all his glorious darkness.

He took a few steps towards me. Slowly. Sinister.

He looked down at me with a smirk on his face. Evil, so evil.

But...

But beautiful.

I never saw someone so beautiful in my life.

Dark hair falling across a light-skinned face, and pale, hungry-colored eyes flashed through the black strands of hair. His jaw was firm and strong, and his nose was the description of perfection. Evil smirk gracing his lip. And his eyes. His eyes were the color of blood, and so empty. As if he has seen generations, with blood, pain, and death.

He was dangerous and he knew it.

"Hello, little rose," he said, his voice dark and deep. "I have been waiting for you".

Suddenly he was on top of me. The cold of his body giving me shivers down my spine.

"Please don't" I pleaded.

"Don't be scared, my little rose," he whispered in my ear "You will be mine soon".

And with those last word he approached my neck slowly. I screamed as I saw two large teeth "Get away from me you freak!"

He laughed and came closer. I tried to back away but I have already been pressed thigh against the tree.

"Why are you so surprised," he said touching my ear with his lips "You are part-vampire too"

What!? Is this man crazy?!

"You are wrong". I said defiantly, "Vampires don't exist. You are just a creepy wannabe dressed as a vampire".

I expected him to get angry but he just laughed and whispered: "Aw, you are such an amusement, it will be so much fun to have you and take you with me". I tried to pull my hand as he slowly took it to his mouth.

He looked into my eyes and gave me a smirk as he bitted my wrist in front of my eyes. I could only stare in surprise and horror as I saw my blood going out of my body to his mouth. After the shock of being bitten passed the pain came through me like a bullet.

He tightened his grip and I felt the turns of the tree clawing my back.

Warm liquid was rushing down my back.

"Please don't!". My voice barely a whisper. I was trying to breathe but I was pressed too tightly against the tree. I could not breathe I could not move. I felt like my life was slipping away from my fingers.

Literally.

I woke up breathing hard and in a pool of sweat. I was paralyzed but this time I knew why.

It was fear.

I was terrified. It felt so real.

I remembered his touch, his aura, his eyes.

But it was not real, it could not be.

I remembered those long and pointy teeth, no, fangs.

It could just not be. Impossible.

"Why are you so surprised," "You are part-vampire too."

Vampires don't exist, they never did and like hell was I one.

Once I could get hold of my body I shot off from the bed. I took a few breaths to get hold of myself and went to arrange a few of my school things.

But I remembered. I was not going to school, I was not going to meet my friends, I was not even going to say bye.

I was simply not going to.

I stood for a second fighting back tears and thought of all the things that I wanted to do but was not be able to.

I pulled myself back together and started packing my things.

I didn't carry much just five pairs of trousers and shirts, three of my most fancy dressiest, three pairs of shoes. I also carried two pictures of my parent and my laptop.

Seeing that I had everything that I needed I went to the bathroom to take a quick shower. On my way there I saw my brother getting up from his bed and I quickly rushed to the bathroom before he could take claim of it.

I closed the door and sighed. I turn the hot water and went to brush my teeth but when I looked in the mirror my eyes were not the normal purple, it was amber. Glowing amber.

What the....

The teeth brush slipped from my hand and I looked down to retrieve but glance up to catch another glimpse of the shiny yellow eyes but it back was normal.

"Wow". A voice said from the doorway.

I quickly turned around and looked at my surprised brother. I stood there shocked, so shocked that I struggled to find my words. "I-I-I...You saw that, right?".

He nodded and took a step closer to get a close look.

He was silent for a few minutes then he said: "Hurry up". And with that, he left and closed the door that was supposed to be closed.

I looked at my eyes again and quickly shook my head and entered the bath.

After my fifteen-minute shower, I went to my room and looked for clothes to wear. I stood in front of the wardrobe and decided to wear the same clothes I wore for school the day before.

I sighed and made my way downstairs.

When I approached the door I stopped. I was getting nervous.

I didn't know what to do or say if I approached my parent. I stood there debating what to do.

Suddenly, a hand touched my shoulder and I turned around to see my brother. He seemed to be there in the moments I less expended him to.

He gave me an encouraging smile and urged me forward. I took a deep breath and step into the kitchen.

My mother and father were seated at the table waiting for us. They had a smile on their faces but their eyes were sad.

I gave them a bright smile hoping to indicate that we were okay.

We ate in silence.

Went to the car in silence

And head to our new school in silence.
