I made my way to the biology class taking a seat at the front. I slowly pulled out my books as I smiled at the cover of my note book. I had printed out personalized covers for all of my books. This particular cover was my favorite because it had my most favorite superhero in the world. Captain America. I wish I was best friends with Captain America, he always used his shield to protect the people around him from getting hurt, mainly because he never wanted anyone else to suffer as much as he did. If he was my friend I would definitely not feel as lost as I do now. The emptiness of having everyone that I once loved leave me and never taking the initiative to contact me again. These thoughts only made my eyes burn as a threatening tear stood at the corner of my eye. I shook the feeling of and smiled. If not for myself I had to be strong for Captain America's sake. I had to be a soldier, a winter soldier.

The teacher soon appeared and took her place at the front of the class.

I smiled as I recalled the scene of......

I sat up straight. I didn't even know his name. I faced palmed myself. This was just great, the chances of me seeing him again was like one out of ten in such a big school.

Umm? Excuse me,but why on earth were you concerned about not seeing this guy.

The little voice in my head was right. I didn't want to get hurt again from becoming attached to anyone.

No attachments Lizzy,no attachments.

With that I slowly slipped on my glasses and started to take down the notes.

I walked out of class alone trying to find Nathan. I didn't even ask him what class he had. What a great friend I am.

"Hey beautiful."

I spun around coming face to face with Nathan. "Hey, I was just looking for you." I beamed.

"Come on I got some people I would like you to meet." He smirked and he motioned for me to follow him.

We made our way to the cafeteria. The noise of loud voices buzzing through the air. The excitement of first day of school could be felt all around as every one tried to update each other on what had happened during the holidays. I slowly started to take in my surroundings as I had noticed that smack dead in the middle of the cafeteria was the popular people of the school, basically the jocks and the cheerleaders. I craned trying to look for a specific person and as soon as I realized what I was doing I mentally hit myself.

The rest of the cafeteria was filled with the descending order of popular groups. The not so popular's yet popular were on the outskirts of the main table of the cafeteria. Then came the Jazz group, the bands, reading group as well as many others. Nathan and I however made our way to the popular-yet-not-so-popular table. I gulped. I had never hung out with even the reading groups let alone the second most popular kids in school. My lunch times were always spent in the library.

"what up my people." Nathan greeted everyone it the table.

"Hey Nathan how was your holidays." A girl that was bellow average height spoke first. She had brown straight hair that complimented her skin to well.

"It was fine I guess we didn't do much, my parents were busy with business trips so I was at home most of the time." Nathan said with a shrug.

"Hey guys I want you to meet someone." He said as though he had just remembered that I was standing there.

"This is Lizzy, she's new here guys so you better treat her well." A hint of seriousness in his voice as he spoke.

"Hi." Was all that came out of my mouth as I smiled at everyone.
