Chapter 2

In the near future.

Edward Elric's Perspective

"We're gonna get mom back, right?" Al asked me timidly. I give him a smile full of confidence I don't feel. "Of course we are!" I say reassuringly. We are in a cold, barren stone corridor, excepting a tall suit of armor. I quiver in anticipation; we have just finished drawing a massive transmutation circle. Our hands are covered in chalk dust and our foreheads are dripping sweat. We're really gonna do it. We're gonna bring back mom. I heave the tray full of the ingredients that are needed to make a body over to the center of the circle. Al comes to join me and we pull out our pocket knifes and prick ourselves on our index fingers. The drops of blood fall into the tray and we walk back to the outside of the circle. We fall to our knees and put our hands onto the circle. We will get mom back.

Present.

Lucy Heartfilia's perspective

I slump out of my new bed and look around. I see most of the people I'm bunking with are still asleep. "Morning Lu-chan." squeaked my best friend Levy as she looked up from her book. I look over at her and smile "You're up early." I say. Levy shrugged and looked back down at her book. "Erza's loud snoring kept me awake _all_ night." At that we heard a booming voice saying threateningly "What did you just say, Levy?" Levy jumped up in fright and quivered behind her book. "N-nothing Erza chan!" she squeaked. "That's what I thought." said Erza as she hopped out of her bunk and looked around. "We certainly have a lot of quirky people in here it seems." She said. I agree. There's a girl called Uraraka, one called Winry, one called Kayano, a few others, and our Juvia, Cana and Wendy. "Well," I say as I stretch, "I'm gonna go down to the great hall for breakfast." "You usually never get up this early." Erza said skeptically, "What are you playing?" "N-nothing!" I say as a blush appears on my face. A smirk spreads across Erza's face. "Ah, I get it now," She teased "You're going to go see Natsu, aren't you?" My blush deepens. "N-no way!" I yell while turning away to hide my red face. "Come now, you can be honest with us." Erza teased. "Shut up!" I yell before covering my mouth. I probably just woke everyone up. I was right. "What's with the racket, you whores? I'm tryin' to get my beauty sleep here!" I hear Cana yell from one of the bunks on the opposite side of the room. "Sorry!" I squeak. "It's okay." Said Uraraka cheerfully, "It's about time we got up anyway." and with that she hopped out of her bunk and started to get dressed. "Can you sluts just shut the fuck up?" I heard Cana yell again from under her sheets. "Some of us need sleep!" she added. "C-Cana, you shouldn't say those words!" squeaked Wendy timidly. "I'll say whatever the fuck I want, thank you very much." She replied snappily. 

After what seemed like years we managed to Cana out of bed and into the great hall for breakfast. "Wow the food looks so good!" I say as I sit down at the table. "Hell yea," said Cana, shoveling food into her mouth "I'm having major mouth-gasms." Too much information, Cana." Says Erza disgustedly. "Too much!" "Hey, psst!" I here someone whisper. I look over and see Natsu signalling me over to him. I blush and walk over. I see Gray and everyone else sitting together with a green haired boy who seems _Way_ Too excited about the food. "Hey," Says Natsu with a concerned look on his face. "Is there something wrong? We were supposed to meet up earlier." "I know, I'm sorry," I reply, "But Cana refused to get out of bed, and we didn't want to leave her alone." "Well," Says Natsu. "How about tonight?" "Sure, I should be free." I reply "Let's meet here at 10, ok?" That's way too late, I'm gonna say no. "S-sure." I stutter. Damn it. It's so hard to say no to him.
